Installed a Milltek catback on my 16 Fiesta today. I knew it wasn’t going to be loud, but it is very close to stock sound. I have the non-res version.

It sounds great in the garage, but on the open road there is barely any noise difference from stock.

I read that sound may increase as carbon builds up. I’m hoping for that!!!

May opt for a downpipe to add sound. Are they difficult to install? I installed the catback myself on jack stands. It was not too bad.

Also, does anyone know how to remove the soot on the paint from the exhaust? I tried goo-gone.

Got the new transmission together except for the input shaft seal... Waiting on the tool to come in the mail.

I went ahead and pulled the transmission from the car in anticipation of installing the new one. Over three months in the making, very excited. I hope to have the car back on the road next weekend or possibly earlier depending on how motivated I am after work this week.

Still a good amount of meat left on the clutch for 85k miles and it's had a big turbo on it for over 45k miles.

Today I deleted the front license plate bracket that Ford rivets through the front bumper. NM only requires a rear plate. $28 plus shipping might seem high for a couple small plugs, but when I saw the factory like finish from bumperplugs.com I felt it was worth it.

Hate to bump from so long ago, but I'm desperate. To do the delete, do you really just drill through the 2 rivets?

Just the X37. Car has had two full weekends at VIR and a few AutoXs in the mix along with my wife driving it as a daily. :p

Yeah, simply drill through it. You don't need a large bit to do it.
