How was the install? I have one in the mail
Basically, easy. Use the boomba video with a couple caveats....
Make sure the white trim clips come with the side panels. They may stay in the hole. Lube them LIGHTLY with white lithium grease or silicone di-electric grease to make it easy to remove the trim pieces again...an acid brush will do fine.
Use a bent scribe to undo that latch people keep breaking. They are lifting it too far or prying it sideways. I used one of my harbor freight orange scribes with a double bend on it. Simple. It doesn't need to lift up but 1 or 2 mm.
I did not need to chamfer the retaining rod. It already was on my 2019. I used a small rubber hammer and it went back in w/o an issue. The retaining clip will look like you can't get it lifted out. You can once you force it...lol
Not sure why they said to clip the corner of the reverse lockout. I left mine as is and it work flawlessly. Having said that, when releasing the reverse lockout, I noticed it would hang. I had to trim down the edges INSIDE the factory lockout assembly (bottom, square portion of the tube) with a razor knife bc it was hitting the shaft's base where it increases in size and hanging up. If it doesn't make sense, just bend the upper boot portion out of the way and slide only the bottom portion on. You will feel that it catches.
Lube everything up with white lithium grease, especially the retaining rod. Then, be smart and lube I think that covers it.
Edit: Adjust the shift cable!
1) apply parking brake.
2) remove intake hose from air cleaner to crossover pipe
3) put in Neutral
4) CAREFULLY unlock yellow clip and ensure the cable moves freely
5) shift into 4th gear
6) push/ lock clip back into place.
7) test
