What did you use in the engine bay?

Meguiar’s All Purpose Cleaner, diluted 5:1, agitated with a brush, lightly rinsed, and then sprayed with Meguiar’s Hyper Dressing diluted 5:1 While still wet. When you use hyper dressing like that, it self levels so you just spray, close the hood, and you’re done.

They’re 3157A LED Switchback bulbs, got them on amazon for about $20. I Use them as DRL But you get hyper flash.

I got the same ones. I dont mind the hyperflash.

Did you have to do a paint correction? How long did the process take? I've got a ceramic coating kit that's been sitting on my shelf because I'm dreading the amount of correction I'll need to do before even getting to the application. Plus, I don't have power tools so it's all going to be by hand.

Last time I detailed my car, I did polish, and then wax, with great results. Did it by hand too. Spray on one section at a time, wipe on, wipe off. Repeat. It's a chore but if you have a garage or something you can take your time with it.

I want to start with a wash that strips everything... dish soap or specialty soap. Then clay bar. Then polish for paint correction. I'm just not sure how much time I'll need to spend doing that. After the polish, I'd apply the ceramic coating just like you said, one small section at a time.

The process took 2 days total. Wash, clay bar, polish for paint correction, spray with panel prep, and apply ceramic coating. I had very little panel prep spray left so I mixed my own with distilled water and alcohol. The polish took the longest but I only did a one step polish instead of two step. Applying the ceramic coating was actually the easiest. You just need good lighting so that you can see and wipe off any excess coating. There were some small areas that I missed wiping off the next day when the car was in good lighting but very minor. The paint definitely shines now and is really slick to the touch. No wash for a week.

I have the Avalon King Armor Shield IX kit. Well, 2 actually. I'm planning on doing the car and the wheels and if I have any left over, I'm going to do the frame and wheels on my bike.

Well you know everything you gotta do which is good. You could try and rent a polishing machine.

That's good to know. I wasn't sure how much mileage I was going to be able to get out of the bottle, although the FiST is pretty small which helps.

I didn't apply new ceramic coating on my wheels. It does need a good cleaning and new protection since the wheels were done 3 years ago.

The coating on the wheels will help since we have so much brake dust.
