I have seen this in the SVT crowd. It makes as much sense to me as people that put a blow off valve on a stock car that has a BPV. Why would you remove something that has a purpose just to look cool? I can't wait till that and the stance fad disappear.

Dude. You have NO IDEA How hard I evangelized this concept to the SoCal Focus ST people. They had no interest in listening or actual performance, just a "PSHHH" noise they'd get anyway by installing an intake system. -_- After literally the 30th or 40th time explaining why it's a stupid idea to add a BOV to the Focus ST OR Fiesta ST I finally got fed up with them and ragequit and decided I would deal with Fiesta people rather than the Focus ST groups that seem to attract idiots.

some people, man

I had NO PITY when a guy I'd warned not to be screwing around with a BOV and messing with his wastegate caused overboost conditions and blew up his ST's motor.

Some might not use the wiper, some might want to lose all the weight they can even if only 3 lbs but it all adds up on a car that will see heavy track time, some might not care about anything anybody else cares about, just do not like wiper, it could be possible there are other reasons besides stance (which in my book is a horrible way to treat any good car.)

On the Fiesta there is one ugly rubber grommet to remove and a plug would not fill the hole correctly but perhaps we can live with a black semi-circle plug over the hole.....not going to be easy to make it look right unless a black car which would be fairly easy.

Yes, though not much weight it all adds up and I never use them anyway.

Back from the dead...anyone come up with an elegant solution yet? Looks like for the Fiesta ST, you need perhaps a paint-matched semi-circle plug of some kind.

Looking to delete mine for weight reduction. It is fairly ineffective anyways as I've discovered.

I'm going to try to tackle it this weekend to see what I can come up with.

I took mine out long ago, I do not recall the weight saved but much less than expected but I am a weight reduction junkie so might take it back out. I put it back in at the time because there was no simple solution to make it look right at the time.

My car has the rear seat delete and many other weight reduction mods, 175lbs or so removed, and the front to rear weight bias was to high so I left it in but since then and most recently the biggest share of the effort I have moved 50lbs from the front to the rear at great time and cost so a wiper delete would not gain as much as before.

I might be selling the car soon so going to leave it as is, if I keep the car I will delete it when I design the hatch mounts for the rear race wing I will install, APR GT200 Spec 48" wide mounted high and far enough back to be very effective.

I strive for the clean and simple look on all my cars and despise the clunky rear wiper arm. I pulled the arm off and put a gloss black silicone vacuum cap over the motor 'pito.' I wish there was a better way to just delete the whole thing. Anyone put the Sico panel on a NA car?

I would but I can't find that thing anywhere. I can't even find a pic of it.
