Hello friends, I hope everyone is well.

I am planning to purchase a tt s280, however I have some doubts that with your experience can help me better prepare my planning.

Well first, my goal is to achieve at least 270 hp for my daily driving car, did not want to use ethanol or any type of fuel mixtures, I will always use 93 octane.
can i achieve those hp without the need to put a wastegate and keeping the OEM downpipe?
my modifications so far are:
Depo Racing intercooler
drop in filter ramair
k & n intake hose
whoosh crossover pipe
rear motor mount torque solutions
one step colder spark plugs
DV + VTA GFB
symposer delete

I will greatly appreciate your comments
If you're at high elevation you might want to consider the upgraded wastegate actuator

Completely disagree, it will not be adequate for anything beyond a pull or two. It will not be consistent, it will get hot and stay hot. An ATP (450hp) core was not good enough for my S280, nor a VT330R.
You're in FL mate, your car is heat soaked as soon as it moves.

What are your expectations? Maintaining AIT's? Or reducing them?

EDIT - Depo and the like are completely suitable for street cars. If you're trying to set lap times, you may need more than just an intercooler to keep the AIT's low. Ie meth injection or the like.

Hes in NC, the weather isn't all that much different until the winter there. My goal was to maintain a consistent charge air temp, I rarely see 10* over ambient, and I think that is a win for me. The ATP was getting +20-40* over ambient and I can't even imagine what the Depo unit would do. I don't think its anyone's expectation to reduce them crazy below ambient.

Added a quick edit in my post above.

Which option do you believe is the most suitable solution? The large 'race' intercoolers shouldn't be in this conversation as they're a different animal based on crash bar requirement.

Stock replacement, which do you buy?

The edit is correct, lol. I'm getting at reliability, I suppose for a street car that only does highway pulls occasionally. Sure the Depo is probably fine, heck I know someone rocking the stock intercooler with an S280 (was waiting on a replacement).

Stock replacement what would I buy? CP-E or a Whoosh V2 / 3. Hands down will work better than the V1/depo/pwnall/etc. I personally have a BA, I wanted to be sure I never had an issue.

In my case is daily drive car and I do drag race on weekends but once in a month a couple of pulls

Isn't the BA technically a 'stock replacement/factory fit' given that it does NOT require an aftermarket crash bar to fit, even though it does need some 'finessing' to get in place? [dunno]

The death squads are no more?
no more friend, I am 38 years old and I have never seen more news about those squads
in fact we have a lot of surf tourism (world championships) and mountain biking (downhill competitions and cross country), you can go downhill and then half an hour later you can be surfing.
one of the best circuit tracks in the central ameriva, it is called "el jabali" track.
you are welcome whenever you want in future.......mi casa tu casa

I would definitely replace it then, you have temperatures similar to mine here in Florida. You'll be heat soaking like a motherf*cker if you don't

That intercooler probably isn't going to handle the S280 so well, but the rest of the stuff is fine.
Do you know of anyone that's run the s280 with an OEM downpipe? I'm looking at one myself. I want 260-270whp on pump gas (91) if possible, with the option of ethanol. Only reason I'm not looking at a hybrid is I'm at 5000ft+ elevation and so I'll need to work a stock frame turbo to give me decent flow up here. If I can run an s280 with an OEM downpipe and get the power I want then why not

Planning on doing the same thing. I believe it's doable but I'm sure someone will confirm.

The guy with a stock intercooler and an S280, do you have an estimate on the power they made?

This is the path I've been planning on taking. Most people go "FBO" before they upgrade the turbo so it's hard to get numbers.
