I have the BA, (look at my profile pic) with an open grill and a TB performance crash bar and comparing it to the CP-e that I had before, delta temps between the 2 are relatively the same, the difference is 1 or 2 degrees. I guess my BA would do better if I ever do a shroud for the upper parts IMO, but I am just lazy.
I am running an s280 at the moment.
Also don't take into consideration when people say x intercooler is running 1, 2, 5, X degrees over ambient, it also depends on how hot your ambient is where you live. I live where my ambient temps during the nights are 80+ and the days are 90+ and I have never seen 5-6 degrees over ambient during a 4th gear pull like some I have seen suggested before.
It looks really cool with an open grill and a crash bar of course.

^^^Thanks for that, now I don't feel as bad about not selling the CP-E, and getting the BA, especially since it would be a long while (if ever) until I get any turbo upgrade. [thumb] [:)]

How well did it mount into the TB crash bar? And how was it mounted?

Would BA intercooler be considered overkill for stock turbo? I want a V3, but who knows when they will be back in stock. Looking at Peron Stage 1+, and I want to upgrade the intercooler, especially with summer right around the corner.
I've got a V3 and have only good opinions. You could email or @ Ron if you're wondering on wait times.

The BA intercooler doesn't mount to the TB crash bar
I cut this part (red) from my stock crash bar with a grinder, really easy to do.

that parts bolts onto the radiator support on the green holes
the BA intercooler hooks up to the blue holes
You could technically make a bracket that can hook up the TB crash bar and not cut that part of the stock crash bar but how it turn on, the intercooler is solid there
If you needed to put the stock crash bar back, you could do so because that part mounts to the radiator support
hope that helps

Do you not have the Custom FMIC tab option on your TB Crash bar? I've been told by Daniel those would work for any intercooler.

Well, I have the "Light Bar/Custom FMIC/ Oil Cooler/Whateveryouwant.jpg Mounting Tabs " on my crash bar but with the provided mounting hardware on the BA intercooler, it doesn't work. You could make it work if you can fab up a custom mount for the intercooler but that is not really my forte and I just wanted to mount the intercooler. So, after observing for a bit, what I did was the fastest and easiest way to do it.

I didn't take a lot of pictures when i installed it but this 2 i think would give you want to look at.
Ps: i know the emblem on the is not centered on the front lip/splitter, it came like that from maxon.

You are a real Jerk.....Now you got me wanting the bar and really making me wanna shave my grill down! You said you had to cut the crash sensor bar and re-attach it right?

I guess that is the easiest and fastest method of doing it.
After cutting the sensor bar, it basically bolts on to the radiator support.
It is already secure with bolts to the radiator support even while it is soldered to the stock crash bar.
Or if you can make a support bracket that looks like this (the red thing), that could work also and not cut anything on the stock crash bar.
If you do that, you would have to place somewhere the 2 sensors that are on that bar. I dont know what does 2 sensors are but i am thinking it for crash sensor? idk

Those are impact sensors...they control the airbags when you get into an accident. I am leaning towards a Gold BAR. How long did it take after it was ordered to be at your door?

I wasn't far of when I said crash sensors lol
I really couldn't say now, I mean, mine was on the 1st batch that TB Performance made.
You could always shoot a message thru TB performance contact us , Daniel check on FB (owner of TB performance, really nice guy to deal with, USA seller) or the TB Performance Facebook Page

Gotcha! Quite a clever way to do it tbh. I was skeptical how the universal intercooler tabs would work. They would but I wouldn't like that setup. I'll definitely be doing your setup by cutting that part of the stock crashbar off and reusing it.

Where did you source the blue intercooler hoses from?

Also, why does the hood latch rod not look straight? Or is it the picture

the picture is taken kinda crooked + I have to resize the picture because cellphone pics are kinda huge, so it not doing any favors there
I just replace the included black 90-degree hoses with blue ones from eBay.
The other hoses are the blue boost silicone hose kit by whoosh

Hollowing out your grill is nice until you get a bunch of bumper sag and have no way to clean your crash bar without taking the bumper off. I’m much happier now with a new non shaved grill and the original crashbar
