Yeah don’t let that thing (AP) freak you out. I’m pretty familiar and it can get to me at times. Maybe put it away and see what you notice on your own then plug it up to confirm. Do your research and ask questions. EVERYONE on this forum has been where you’re at and most will not mind helping another out. Best of luck!

At the very least I'm going to try to pay less attention to it. The car runs great and I've noticed the improvements from the tune the more I drive it.
I'll do more research on all this for sure

Engine detail.

Low pressure presoak.
Meguiar’s APC, agitated with a brush.
Rinse.
Meguiar’s Hyper Dressing.
No drying necessary.

Looks very sharp. I haven't attempted cleaning the engine bay until I find out where I can and can't spray with a hose.

Attempted to install the Pierce Motorsports tower brace. It was a no-go. I couldn't get it to not rub against the AC piece over the coolant reservoir. I also lost a wrench down in there somewhere on the driver's side.

It's going back. I expect perfect fitment on all parts, and that's just unacceptable.

^^^They really don't do all that much on these cars anyway, especially if they are not triangulated into the fire wall somehow, regardless of what all of the 'bracers' claim on here.
Just ask most suspension/chassis/unibody engineers about this if you don't believe me. [wink]

Looks like I'm not missing much, then. Back it goes.

If you have access to a leaf blower, you don't need to worry too much. Just start with light water pressure (from a hose, not a pressure washer), let the degreaser and the brush do the work, rinse with light water pressure (again, from a hose), and then dry it with the blower.

Car was throwing code P1450, said it was the evap code related to the valve in the evap harness.

Installed the pre 2017 (2016?) lines to get rid of it, hopefully fix the stumble at idle after a fill up too. Went with the older lines as a future proof for upgrades in the future, got the whoosh air intake tube for the same reason.

Code still pops up, hoping it goes away soon. Saw some peeps said it could take a week of driving to go away. Dont have an AP yet, so can't clear it myself.

That’s why I always use Low pressure. Keep it out of the alternator and don’t blast it with a ton of water and you’re absolutely safe. I don’t use much water at all, so I didn’t even cover the alternator, but you can with a shopping bag or stuff a junk microfiber towel that you don’t use on paint in the area. Never clean a hot engine. Cooled off or warm is okay, just not freshly run.

Just drive it. If it doesn't go away in 2 weeks, do the next thing.

I had the ST RTs on a fox body; how are they on the FiST?

Double Quote! Just call me Johnny 2 Quotes! "I'm gonna go get the papers, get the papers."

Only a couple days and few miles but the ride with Eibachs seems well improved. I had OEM suspension with 15" and snows all winter, then about 6 weeks with the OEM 17's and then 3 weeks with the 16" Deks, and now a day or two with the 16" Deks, and Eibach/Koni ST combo and I can feel all of the differences. This seems like the best happy medium for me so far, very early/incomplete impressions though.

Seems to have taken all the sharp edges off of impacts. Haven't pushed very hard yet but it doesn't feel too soft or wallowy to me so far.

I am done with strut tower braces. I have had some nice versions on other cars but for me they are corrosion introducers vs the benefit they may or may not offer. In my climate no matter how well you do it punching 2-4 holes on the strut towers is asking for trouble down the line if you are going to keep the car. Plus they introduce "packaging" issues too often. I just stick to the under car bracing that goes in OEM mounting points now.

So...with regard to braces...I’d ask for anyone’s input on the following that a few users have spoke to...

FWD cars and especially ours are prone to understeer...so stock Swaybar and no tower bracing in the front coupled with bracing in the rear promotes oversteer and rotation under cornering...

The trouble is there’s so many opinions...[emoji849]

I had zero issues installing the same part on mine. My brother has a stock no mods suspension FiST and I’m fully braced both above and below. Night and day difference between the two. Mine is a bit stiffer but bites in the corners and rotates quite nicely. I am very happy with the performance over stock. These parts do work but you have to have a handle on the variables that can make or break a set up.
