I am NOT saying that the Versus is non-functional.
I am NOT an aerodynamicist, but I seriously doubt anyone else on here is either.
IF they are, I HOPE they will jump in and give their assessment of the Versus, and any other diffusers (or splitters/wings/skirts/etc., etc.) out there.
Merely asking if Woods had questioned that company above about a diffuser, since they seem to be (but yeah, I could be very wrong about this) all about real aero function over all form, and he has dealt with them before.
We all get defensive about products we have on our cars which others question, I get it (many question the CP-E exhaust, and their IC I have waiting to be installed, and the 'boat anchor' 17x8 Pro race 1.2s, I own).
But until Versus shows me actual wind tunnel tests confirming their (yes modest) aero claims, I have to believe that it is mostly for aesthetics.
(And yeah, I know that even a day in a tunnel co$t$ more than they probably make in profits in a whole quarter or more. )

No company is going to do this - none. It's too cost prohibitive. Computer modelling is completely sufficient. You have to use common sense and knowledge of the Time Attack cars as they get ridiculous with their aero as the rest of the car is sooooo consistent. Driver included. Small aero tweaks actually put time on the clock or take it off - from what I have seen, what the Versus Diffuser does is what you want any rear diffuser to do. Cover from the rear axle backwards, protrude past the rear bumper cover (so the air transition to open air is clean) along with adding some air stabilizing fins. Unless you're cutting in to the bumper to increase the height of the opening (and therefore making it a low pressure zone to suck air out from the underside) there isn't anything more that I can see to be done.
If there is, please, someone identify what the area of concern is and perhaps we can focus our conversation on that. At this point, I have yet to hear WHY it doesn't perform the task.
