What actuator are you guys using?
I installed the upgraded Turbosmart from Ron and am getting some boost spikes. I'm going to adjust the preload tomorrow.

This thing rips!
I'm using a 18psi turbosmart efr spec that I cut down from my c39 to use with the clevis. No boost spikes. Stoked to see your results.

If you assume no aux, what do people think would be a better route for a mostly daily driver - S280 or Hybrid? Mostly highway driving, but also down for the occasional rip or two around town.

If you have access to ethanol and could eventually get aux or a fuel upgrade I would go s280. If not I would probably stick with a hybrid.

I would go S280, it's only $99.00 more than a non trac-spec Whoosh hybrid and it has more horsepower potential.

Not really without aux or meth tho. And on a hybrid you can run e30 on a stock fuel system. I wouldint buy a hybrid new tho go used.

Ok so those that have installed this turbo any tips? I got my stock one out. But I left the manifold on the car. I’m thinking I might have to pull that off and install turbo and manifold together? I dont have my kit here yet.

Yes pull the manifold off and drop it all in as one.

I'm looking at running meth with mine come summertime. I don't really like the idea of the TB spacer to run it, but dont seem to be any other options (I don't want to inject pre TB either, since i'm going to be using it for fueling).

I know it ends up being more expensive than AUX in the long run but its just not something I want to do for every day driving. I'm super happy with the power it puts down right now, but being able to have an extra 30-40whp when I want it is enticing.

A friend of mine made a 4-port Meth set up for his car. I think he used a Boomba Spacer to make it. It works pretty well, made most of the kit himself.

If you have ethanol readily available just get aux, meth is a pia I ran it in my other car. Also expensive.
