Yeah, trying to make a leak tested and just wanted to know the diameter for the silicone coupler. Pretty sure is like 3 inches like the gtx turbos. The ramair crossover is like 2.75 inches and the coupler for the turbo is a little bit more bigger
I got a boost leak tester from Torque Solutions with a reducer tube of 2.5. But I've used it without that tube on GT and GTX models and with the reducer on hybrid. I would imagine from the size of that S280 the 3" should be the right diameter. Also make sure to plug the EVAP hose from the cold side pipe as it will leak from there during the test.

Just about out of fuel at 275WHP/300WTQ on Virtual Dyno. Still on 93 without aux fuel. These logs were at 24F ambient temps which is why I think the spool is so fast.

Admittedly, I haven’t read through this entire thread because it lost me more than a few times. Is this turbo less powerful than a Whoosh or Pumaspeed hybrid? I’m a little confused because I thought this was a +350whp capable turbo with aux.

Everyone here is still tuning on 93. On aux and ethanol it should make 350+

I edited my post since it was a bit confusing when I reread it. I have aux fuel installed but am not using it yet. Tuner wanted to get to the point that it was absolutely needed before starting to tune with it. I am there now at 275WHP/300WTQ on 93 and will be tuning 93/aux fuel next.

It should be more powerful than a whoosh hybrid and X47R or X57 turbo. It will likely be inline with what I am seeing with the Pumaspeed X57RS turbo.

If your gonna be tuning with ethanol soon your tuner will probably not have you tune with aux on 93 because you would need to connect to a laptop everytime you switch fuels. Only reason I'm doing it is because I won't be tuning on ethanol for at least 4 months.

Like I said, going to be doing 93 on aux fuel before touching ethanol.

Lol i get that did you read what I wrote? Most tuners wont do an aux+93 tune and an aux+ethanol tune because if you need to switch between fuels you would need to switch the aux map. I asked my tuner specifically just so I could get some numbers out for the people.

Both tuners I have worked with in the past have done exactly what you said “most tuners” won’t do. So yes I read it, but I do not understand your tuner’s thinking here. I don’t really care, just wanted to make it clear what I will be doing.

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Dude your taking this all wrong. I'm just saying if you get stuck in an area with no ethanol and you have your 93 tune setup with aux then you would need to have a laptop to switch up the aux controller map which is why most tuners don't like to do a 93+aux map.

That is why I had my tuner Do an 91 and 93 NO AUX fuel. then all I do is unplug the Aux fuel and change the tune to a NO AUX tune.

Shouldn't need to unplug the controller. It's based off map sensor voltage and should be programed into each tune.

I asked specifically about this and was told NOPE. I needed to unplug the module. I take my Tuner's word for it..... to each their own.

I didn't realize, or think about that for auxiliary fuel. I can see the value of hi flow injectors now.

The fuel controller reads map voltage and rpm. So as long as you are above those triggers, fuel will spray. You can pull the fuse (which Is what I do when I want to turn it off), or you can load another map that that has no fuel added. But again, changing maps.
Can't you just add an inline switch to the power source for the unit?

Would it be possible to use a common aux fuel tune between two different fuels (91 and emix) and then tune out the differences with the the Cobb tune? This way the car owner can simply switch the Cobb tune easily when forced to use the alternate fuel without leaving performance on the table and without needing to pull the fuse of the aux fuel controller.
