Was watching a video at work on Fords new EcoBlue engine technology for the new 2019 Transit Connects 1.5L
Diesel engine and saw a new badge coming out on them in late 2019.

Decided to order one for the FiST since I like blue and the blue matches my ST inlays [hihi] I'm not much of a badge adding person but its a nice small touch that no one else has yet.



I got one of the Last EcoBeast badges before ford put the Cabosh on the guy who made them.

Went to another track day. Many more mods were done since the last track day. Was a nice 75 degrees. Surprised a lot of people like usual. Didn't have to point anyone by.

Had a friend in another FiST tag along as well. He had stock cooling and was running 230-240 on the coolant. I don't recall his oil temps. I have a Mountune rad and Motorcraft 180 T-stat and my coolant temps where around 200-210 most of the time. Cool to see the comparisons and improvements and know its not just placebo effect.

Stoptech brakes did really well! No fade at all. I'm still on stock Motorcraft brake fluid.

The Dunlops Direzza Z3s did REALLY well with grip. I would definitely get them again I like them so much.

Still digging the Z3s? How’s the 2860 treating you?
Oh I'm loving them so far. I don't know if you know the layout of Heartland or not but on the front stretch you hit about 130ish then theres a downward right blind hill corner that you carry a good 90+mph through and it held up perfectly with zero slip or greasyness through the entire day. It was a nice 75 the whole day. Zero brake fade as well.

Last time I was at the track day I had stock turbo. This time with the 2860 it was hilarious. No more falling on its face on the straights and falling behind. Been great so far. I'll be at the fuel limit of 300whp for a little bit before I go aux since I'm doing other things for now but I'm extremely happy with the 2860. Its definitely the turbo you want for a road course layout.

I’m still happy with the hybrid but like to hear other track guys’ experience with the 2860. Never know what the future holds for my car. Same scenario for me too regarding speed.. No more slow! It’s nice to have a fast car again. I’m about to tune with E30 so that should put me at the stock fueling limit as well. I was a little concerned about the X47 popping on the track, but many track days later, it’s still pulling hard. I don’t even think about it now.

What’s your home track? I’m starting to travel to track now.

I'd consider my home track Heartland which is in Topeka, KS.

Also, I'm not too experienced with track tires so take my experience with the Z3s with a grain of salt but I do love them alot

Got my 26mm spacers in from Motorsport-Tech. Will be using my stock wheels/tires for winter as I do not feel comfortable destroying my summers in the cold temps. I could've probably went with a 23mm to clear the BBK. But I'm happy, looks alot better in person too. It probably has 1/8" of poke at most, that I can deal with for a few months out of the year.

Yeah it is, just need like a ~23mm spacer. I got a 26mm to be safe and have good room. I have enough room to go down a few mm's but I saw what a FiST with stock wheel and a 25mm looked like and it makes the stock wheel look much better.

With a 26mm it pokes a little but VERY little. I'll only need to deal with it for a few months for winter so it'll be good.

I think I may be the first to use stock wheels with the Stoptech BBK..

That's about as 'flush' as I've ever seen a factory wheel setup. [thumb]
Yeah, I'd honestly say it probably has about 1/16" of poke but nothing major. Nothing that I can't deal with for 3-4ish months out of the year. Everyday I like it more and more.

Are those stock size tires on your stock wheels with the spacers and no rubbing any where? This what I'm looking to do on mine. Thanks.
Yeah, stock 205/40/17 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s. Only rubs on very hard severe bumps. Easily avoidable.
