Every time I see a non stock crashbar like that I wonder how hard it would be to make one. I used to know a dude with a mandrel bender for up to 1 7/8 chromoly tubing. I can weld up to 5/16 thick with my lil mig. How thick are the plates that bolt to the car on the sides?

I couldn’t tell you off hand. If I can remember I’ll take a look later.

No substantial updates for the Fiesta, y’all. Just got an oil change coming up.

Listen... I know this was touted as a great comeback story and it just didn’t live up to the hype. I hope it gets more fabulous too.

At least you NEVER hung up the cleats and traded it in!

I love my Fiesta and I can’t see it going anywhere. I’d sell the Mustang before the FiST.

I'm sorry. HAHA. If you ever get to North AL, let me know, we'll grab a beer or something. I'm gonna come down to Barber in Dec for the Just Track it track day.

Nice. I live in Montgomery. Definitely a ways away from each other though.

Didn't realize you moved south. If you're ever heading east to the beach you'll likely come right by my house, if so holler at me.

BTW I concur on props for not selling the FiST. So many do.....not me, not you.

Is the GTi gone now that you have the Mustang?

Thanks.

And no, the GTI is still in the driveway. My wife is in love with it, so I don’t think it’s going anywhere.

Here’s my sporadic update:

As I believe I’ve mentioned previously, the plan was to put miles on the FiST with the conservative 93 tune and turn it up later on. Well, back in January, the FiST made its way back up to Panda. It has received a new (22k miles) transmission, new OEM brakes, stainless steel brake lines, new A/C components, and a new vacuum pump as oil was leaking. Currently waiting on weather to clear up to make sure all is good and then it will move on to a compression test and into getting turned up on the dyno.

Still quite a bit of road ahead but this is all for the sake of longevity and performance.

392/383 on E50 at 36psi. The car still needs to be buttoned up, but it will be home soon. All things considered (and there are a LOT of things to be considered), I’m happy with it turned out! I will drive this, let it digest and be happy before deciding if I want more.

Couple Questions:

Is this with your mod list on Post #1, or has something changed? If so, what's your current mod list (i.e. engine, turbo, downpipe, intake)?
Do you have a datalog from this run you would be willing to share?
What clutch are you running?
Are you running the OEM in-tank fuel pump?
Are you running the OEM Map Sensor in the Intake Manifold? What about the TIP sensor in the charge pipe?

Thanks!

Thank you for bringing that up! I edited the first post to bring it up to speed.

The car is with Panda Motorworks about 800 miles from me, so I wouldn’t be able to post the datalog if there is one. I can ask, though.

I’m running a Spec Stage 3 with the Spec lightweight flywheel.

As for the fuel pump, I’m on a DW300, not the the stock one and my TIP sensor is a 3.5bar. I know that tuner had to install a new MAP, but I have not gotten all of the details yet, but fairly sure it’s OEM.

Awesome thanks, I am working out some challenges with the dw300 now so that’s why I asked. Would love to see a log if you don’t mind sharing (assuming you can get one).

Thanks!
