It's 3" through the flex then it goes down to a 2.5" flange to bolt upto the stock system (in my case) and presumably aftermarket 2.5" systems as well. I don't think there is much to gain on a 3" CBE vs a 2.5" unless a bigger turbo is in your future.

Sweet thanks man. I was always looking at the cobb one but always nice to have another option that bolts onto my cobb exhaust.

And what else are you running? Full stage 3?

Nothing else yet just the DP so far. I gotta say the DP on a stock tune is night and day. I cannot imagine what a tune and an intercooler/piping will do!

Just got my Depo Racing catted DP today...not so sure I'm happy with the craftsmanship. I'm sure it'll function like its supposed to but the chips missing near the welds and rough edges don't really make me feel confident.

Hey newbie here so..

My '14 just hit 36k so it's mod time. I'm not very mechanical so a friend with a shop is gonna help me out, but I HAVE TO provide all the materials. I'm getting the Depo Racing non-catted downpipe and need to find gaskets. but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Who sells them?

That thing looks rough! I'd be shooting them an email.

I guess for the price if it functions right - whats to complain about? My only concern might be where the flanges meet, but again gasket should take care of that. Sweet post and pics GateCity ! Thanks!

With my Mountune downpipe the instructions said to re-use the turbo <> downpipe gasket and it came with a new downpipe <> catback gasket. Maybe see if the Depo downpipe comes with an included downpipe <> catback gasket.

It will seal fine, that's what the gasket is for. The little knicks in the weld is where the tig got good penetration so you know you wont have worry about that weld breaking! I suggest you look how other lower cost DP's are welded and you will see why I choose this one as well. Others I have seen use a smaller flex section which causes restrictions or their welds are almost laughable. For half the price of others I am satisfied with the Depo one and so far have 500 miles on it with no issues. I cannot speak for the quality of the cat though because I am allergic to cats and ordered mine without one [wink]

Mine came with the rear flange to CBE gasket and I reused the stock turbo flange to pipe gasket. Just be careful not to damage the gasket when removing it. Pry up each section just a bit in a clockwise rotation and it will pop right out of the old DP, just make sure you don't crush or damage the sealing surface.

If you're in a pinch, you should be able to reuse your stock gaskets. Otherwise the dealer will have them/order them for you for cheap.

IMO that looks perfectly fine. If anything, it looks like someone took their time on the welds.

Installed my DHM downpipe. Perfect fit.

A couple tips for the average Joe doing this at home is:

1) Get ratcheting wrenches. If you don't want to spend the dough on a complete set at least buy 8mm and 10mm ratcheting wrench. It will cut time down way way down.
2) Get a small led headlamp. Really helps when your laying under the car or peeking down from the top
3) Make sure you have multiple sizes of socket extensions. Some basic kits only come with 1 long one. You may need 2 long ones and a u-joint.
3) Soak bolts with PB night before, morning of, and even while you're working.
4) Make sure your downpipe comes with the necessary hardware BEFORE you strip your car down - 2 gaskets + DP to CB bolts.

Nice man - how would you describe the sound?! I'm considering this but don't want it too loud. Thanks.
Stock with rumbling on decompression. Opens up in higher rpm. I removed my symposer and it sounds near the same as with it connected if I had to say anything.
Resonator delete soon.
Not loud at all.
Btw- it stinks like a mofo lol

Thanks guys! sounds great! Having done many highly modified cars, it can be tough on a daily driver. I'm trending towards more refinement now. I might just keep it stock for a little while longer. (My motor mount harsh vibration is a good reminder of this - I sometimes want to switch it back to stock.) But it does sounds cool! [}:)]
