I'm all for helping people out, but I *do* take umbrage with the idea of being financially penalized for the fact I mowed lawns and did odd jobs to make money as a kid, invested that money and worked hard to grow that money over the years. The only "advantage" I suppose I had was neighbors with yards that needed mowed, bushes that needed to be trimmed (heh), and dog owners that didn't want to pick up poop.
My wife worked her tail off for her job in medical, she makes way more than i do now. She didn't get where she is bc of any identity factor, it was hard work. I was doing physical work when i was 14 to make spending money bc my parents didn't have much, my first pair of Nikes i bought myself. No privilege here. I feel sorry for nobody, we lie in the bed we make.

Sorry for nobody does that includes kids with cancer, or people that end up with terrible diseases that they can't control.
Does that include a mom with kids whose husband died in a tragic accident, or maybe shot as police officer, burnt in a fire as a fireman. Do you feel sorry for those people?
You know the Wife and I didn't have much of a helping hand but neither of us are douchebags we actually have a heart, and care about other living things that includes people. Part of a functioning society is taking care of people who are incapable of taking care of themselves. Not everybody is mentally or physically capable of providing that's reality.
Sorry for nobody means everybody.

My Wife is a registered nurse case manager she doesn't have a chip on her shoulder.

Nope it's not. Sorry for nobody means everybody. When people say stupid shit like that they should clarify what they mean.
If some bad shit happens to you I have no problem paying taxes to take care of you . Just so you know as a participating member of society I have your back.

I figured most people would realize it goes without saying, yea i don't support just leaving mentally disabled people out to dry, or kids with cancer. Does that really need to be said? My statement applies to capable adults, even late teens, people who should know better. If people are unsuccessful because of laziness or dishonesty that's their problem. If somebody can't become a doctor bc they just aren't smart enough, welcome to real life.

Did you see the dems pushing for $30/hour pay? how ridiculous. I believe in a meritocracy, not giving handouts to people who just want to depend on others out of laziness.

Not to get any more into this but i just wanted to say, if people like him and agree with his policies and philosophies, insulting him is just like insulting them. I think he genuinely wants to improve our country and im all for that, i don't see how anybody can live here and not want that. He wants to strengthen our borders, he wants to improve our economy, all of those things help us citizens.
And fair enough, I'm moderate left (middle of the road on at least with guns, being too PC and too many of certain regulations) and tried to give him a chance, he did say some things that I thought would help the average person, but getting into trade wars with China just hits the lower/middle class the most with higher prices. Getting out of nuke agreements and collaborating with dictators makes us less safe. Yes, we need more secure borders, but instead of a wall, how about using the defense money to fix the prob at the source in Central America that our gov't helped create long ago? And instead of giving a tax break that mainly only helps the top 1% that don't need it and accelerates our national debt, why didn't he give the bottom 90%, including small business owners the majority of the tax break instead? They would actually spend it into the economy creating actual wage growth and not just minimum wage job number growth where people need 2-3 jobs to get by He's leading with his ego too much and despite not a politician, which is OK for some topics, he should listen to advisers more on foreign and trade policy in those important areas he has no experience in instead of even ignoring Republican ones, which would at least be a little more sane in today's connected world. Again, being too PC is one thing but some of things he said or not said about shooting immigrants, telling US citizens to go back to where they came, really? And just too much shadiness surrounding deals with Russia and everything, even not provable as crimes, sorry, can't get behind him. At least Bush was a decent human being (with shady advisers/VP he trusted too much) that was at least respectful around the world. I just think at a certain point, if you love your country, then you should want it respected and not belittled around the world, we can be strong but also respectful and he goes way too far over the line on too many things.

Anyway, again just wanted to say I can respect personal political leanings, definitely not trying to incite anyone by saying they are wrong, just explain why I'm disappointed by Trump. I think too many on *both* sides gets sucked in too far or too right by the modern media when we need to be able to have civil discourse and compromise on basic things. They actually used to do this back before the internet and cable, it truly sucks how divided we are now! I PROMISE I won't go off-tropic any more, I was just hoping to speak my mind respectfully, we all have a great little fun car we all love and have in common, so at least we can have civil discourse on that, right? LOL

I would like to agree that shouldn't have to be said but unfortunately it does.
People can be extremely cruel.

So when did the $15 an hour push double to $30? That s definitely too high for sure.. I do know that if we based it on productivity compared to the minimum wage of the past it would be like $24 hr... I'm just saying at a certain point you have to get the very, very, top 1% putting money back in instead of hording it so that there are decent enough paying jobs that there doesn't have to be handouts. There has to be some middle ground we can find to make the economy work so that there are decent jobs so no little need for handouts.
