I have never seen the security light flash in that location under the high beams light...I have even sat in the car and locked it and waited for some sort of blinking.
I don't know what security light you are speaking of?
If you are referring to the "A" with the arrow around it, that has been proven to be an auto start/stop icon.
Auto start/stop is not used on this model.

BTW, when performing the LED test, both the auto start/stop and frost warning icons are the only ones that blink.
I am not sure but that may indicate that are not used.

In car, press and hold the trip reset button.
Continue to hold the trip reset button and press the start button (or turn key).
You do not need to start the car, so foot on clutch is not needed.
Continue to hold the trip reset button for about 10 seconds.
Instrument cluster will go into diag mode.
Release the trip reset button then press to step through the tests.
First test is gauge sweep.
Second is LED test.
I contacted my friend, the shop foreman at my dealer.
He looked in all the manuals that they have and asked everyone that he could.
They do not have an answer and could find no info on it.
He has put in a call to Ford Engeneering, so I hope to have proper answer soon.
I have worked with guy for many years and he will not let this go because now I have stumped him.
Even the Ford Engineering Rep. did not have a definitive answer and he was not interested to look into it further.
I continued to ask around more and as was stated before it might be for some kind of global locking.
I just don't understand why there would be a need for an icon for global locking when no one should be in the car.
