BP OR Shell as almost every single one I've encountered minus the most ghetto gas station in Florida the plantation shell has 93 oct.

I voted for multiples because here in SoCal we have basically twp refineries and all the gas comes out of both of them and it really does not matter where you buy the gas beyond it not being a ghetto ass station that might pull shifty shit with the pumps or watering down. Or a place that has older gas because it does not empty its tanks reguarly.
Othewise Arco,Costco,76, Shell. Etc... its pretty mich the same and Chevron is just overpriced BS.

It's the additives they add before delivery that make the difference. I know because, I happen to know 2 engineer brothers that own a chain of Citgo gas stations.

Shell all day everyday. Used to think Chevron was good stuff until I started running premium Shell in past BMWs and Shell blows Chevron out of the water. I've always had consistent power delivery with Shell. Not so much with some other brands.

Just some food for thought. Getting 93 octane in the nicer part of town where more cars require premium fuel may also result in fresher, higher quality gas. I bet most people going to costco are putting in 87 octane. Whereas the shell next to whole foods has a line of mercs all pumping 93.

All fuel in my area comes from 1 refinery in Montana via pipeline. The only difference in stations is the additive pack added and freshness. If its top tier and not in the boonies(or slum) then I am OK with their gas.

Of course if we had 93. But there are a lot of people using 91 at Costco here because BMW’s and Mercedes are quite common and a lot of their owners shop at Costco. Lol Hell you see Porsches at Costco here all the time.
Though I also have Shell Fuel Rewards so I buy a lot of Shell because I get a great discount. We also now have Sinclairs again( blast from the past) . I had not seen those since I was a kid.

Yeah I wish I could say the same thing about the thread title but it was just lazy editing on my part.

I also use the Fuel Rewards card, and will go out of my way for Shell V-Power, but will use Sunoco, or BP in a pinch (as I'm sure I will have to at some point in my upcoming trip to northern New England).

I remember the Sinclairs as a young kid (MANY moons ago! LOL) as well, and always loved seeing the Bronto logo.
The ONLY one I've ever seen recently is in Hopewell, N.J., on the road to Princeton.

Ya they just started popping up out here in the last 6 months or so. I had not seen them since I was a kid on the east coast before that.

A prominent Ecoboost tuner recommends not using Shell. No idea why .
