'17 DIY Ambient Lighting - 3D Printed Glovebox Light Mount

Bump. Still lots of '17 and '18 owners out there who don't know what they're missing out on!

Just a heads up, I am pretty slow to ship, but they'll make it. That's how I am able to keep the price so low.

Your 2015 has a switched glovebox light from the factory. For 2017, Ford eliminated that light and also the ambient LED light on the dashboard above the glovebox. Those of us who have bought an older factory harness with the pre-2017 LEDs to install the dash light by adding the second harness now have unused LEDs glowing away uselessly behind the dash. These mounts will allow us to use 2 of those lights to illuminate the glovebox. Very clever idea

this may be a stupid question but since i have a 17', I just need to buy a 14-15' light/glovebox harness or whatever its technically called and these (2) inserts for complete install? The harness you link to is correct. You will also need the clear "light bar" diffuser insert to replace the black filler insert installed in the 2017+ models: https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-lamp-asy-be8z13e701a

Sent you the money VIA PayPal and ordered the harness and lamp assembly. Thanks once again I’m so excited to get this right. Ford shouldn’t have messed with it to begin with but other owners complained of the light reflecting off of the pass windows or something. ????????????*♂️
