So flywheel upgraded vs bone stock at the wheels from Edmunds (thanks edmunds http://www.edmunds.com/car-reviews/track-tests/2014-ford-fiesta-st-dyno-tested.html)

I will wait until official Ford Racing numbers are released and then hopefully someone will buy and dyno soon after before I can say it will be worth it. Based on the UK dyno at flywheel that "might" translate to 188 HP and 214 or basically what the stock Edmunds dyno was.
All dynos are different and will yield different results. I've dyno'd my car on two different dynos and got two completely different set of numbers. Chassis dynos are only good for verifying changes you make. =)

My car stock made 21 hp less at the wheels than the Edmunds dyno baseline on Cobbs Mustang Dyno. LOL [shhh]

You guys worry way too much about the reliability of the Cobb AP OTS maps. I have never heard of anyone having any issues on any of the cars they support with OTS tunes.

seriously. some people are a little too prone to fearmongering and misinformation.

Here's Cobb's response from the Nasioc boards:
"There is a lot of rumour and concern about this issue and the bottom line is that we have never found this to be true. There is no stored data in the Subaru ECU that the dealer can see to show that the ECU was ever flashed. There is no "black box" or recorder that the dealer can look at and say "AHA! You have a flash!". We have been inside these ECUs probably more than most folks and we just cannot find any evidence for this at all. I have a feeling this is something that some service writers tell people who purchase these cars as a sort of boogy man. You should use your AccessPORT with confidence and if you uninstall the AccessPORT your ECU is back to 100% stock.

Boogey man, guys. There is no way dealers can tell you are running an Ecu tune. If you're local to SoCal and need a friendly service writer, hit me up and I can refer a friend who is a Ford Service Writer and runs a heavily modified Supercharged SN95 Saleen Clone.

I wounldn't say fearmongering..but rather some people prefer to know the details before making their decisions. Personally I think Cobb has been around long enough where you don't have to worry about such things.

Sirhc's friend and STooge are correct, I spoke to two different BMW service technicians(coincidence they both worked for BMW) and yes they can tell if you've flashed your ecu. He explained you always flash forward you never flash back. In other words if you flashed forward to go to a specific performance tune, you have to flash forward again to revert to stock settings. The ecu shows it has been flashed twice although you're back on the stock mapping. Furthermore, he explained that they can't tell what you did on the first flash, but only that it has been flashed, so that leaves the door wide open for assumptions if something fails. He also explained that the software at the dealership won't be able to see this on their computer unless they run into a problem which requires manufacturer software that can see this. He didn't explain what problems would require this software, only that it exists. Hope this helps out with confusion about going back to stock mapping to try and fool the dealership. One reason you should go with Mtune if you're worried about voiding your warranty. At least their maps don't void warranty should they find out you've flashed your ecu. Also, mountune adjusts maps from data logging over a period of time to best suit your build setup. They also do this if you purchase a cobb v3 accessport from them, but I don't know if Ford will honor your warranty if it's not an Mtune accessport, but if I had to guess that's probably why the cobb accessport is $400 less than the Mtune accessport.
