For reference, this is Ian from COBB's ST on Pro Race 1.2, 17x7.5/45mm offset Pro Race 1.2 wheels and COBB springs.

That's looks flush. Might be the 7.5 inches compared to other people having 40-42 offset with 7 inch wheels?

A 7.5" et45 will only sit 3.4mm further outboard than a 7" et42 and 1.4mm further outboard than a 7" et40.

What you're seeing that's confusing you is a combination of camera angle/distance and the additional lowering.

You're probably right. I'm just trying to get an idea of the best off set for the a flush fit in case I go the TD way. Looks like I can't go wrong with anything from 40 to 45.

Until I'm lowered, I can't tell you how flush or not my car is. I'm thinking of going Cobb Springs really soon.

It's just math. There isn't much fitment information in the FiST community, but you can use www.willtheyfit.com to get an idea of the mathematical differences between size/offsets. That's only the start before taking the arc of the suspension into account and the various true measurements of wheels with the same 'size' (i.e.-215), but again-it's all simple math and measurements.

Yeah I just have 42 offset 15x6.5 wheels on 195/55 and want to go wider next year. Thinking of 16x7 with 225/45s

Comparatively, the 7.5" et45's have 9.7mm's more poke than your current setup. And so on, and so forth.

It's important to take your planned tire into account for your final setup-especially if you're wanting to run 225's on a 7" wheel. A 'flush' wheel with a wider tire will interfere with the fender.

Yeah that's true too. Damn so much stuff to get right. Thanks for help though. I'm happ with my current set up just want a more beefier set up, looks wise. Beefier as in wider.

Like the color!!!

Oh, as far as fitment you can run anything from 8.25" wide +35 in a 17 to 8" wide +45.... Limiting factor on that is for tire selection (bigger than stock 205/40), amount of drop, and camber.

I'm waiting for someone to fit 17x8.5 wheels on with a +40 lowered with 215/40 tires... I think it's doable and would look amazing (might have to do a little roll & slight pull) :)

Will 15x7 et 37 wheels fit? With stock suspension. Don't know what tire yet but one obviously that would fit with the wheel setup. Wanted to know if the offset wasn't too aggressive or not. Thanks.

It shouldn't be, 94gt5.0 had a set of 15x7 +30 on 205/50 tires. He was lowered and I believe mentioned a bit of rubbing on hard cornering so it would be close. With stock suspension you should be fine but that set up is ~5mm smaller in diameter than the stock set up so you'd have a bit more wheel gap than stock.

I was just going to get a thicker tire. Thinking of 205/50 on 15s.

For reference, 94gt5.0 ran a 205/50/15 and dropped on springs. With absolute flush fitments, like 15x7/30mm offset, springs are usually to long or too short. I highly recommend coilovers to be able to dial out the rubbing.

So would 15x7 with 37 offset and that tire set up be fine on stock suspension?
