Just did this update. Kept showing that there was no file located on my older HP. But retried it on my girl's Mac and it worked seamlessly. Took exactly 15 minutes to update the car. 5 minutes off, turned it back on and everything seems to be working well. Can't beat that [twothumb]

Does anyone with Sirius xm know how to skip to the next channel now with the update? I can go to the next preset channel, but I used to be able to press and hold the next button on the steering wheel and it would play the next channel. I like to be able to skip through all of the channels, rather than using only presets.

Thank you, I didn't even try that oops. Still a little disappointing it won't work from the steering wheel now.

I haven't ordered the new USB port yet - can anyone who has installed it shed some light on how easy or hard it is to install the new USB port yourself? What exactly is involved? Wiring? How many things need to be removed to get to it, etc.? Thanks in advance [like]

just gotta pry the old part out (i recommend nylon or similarly soft tools made for this use) and unplug two plugs. My pry tools were a bit long, that little bin is pretty small and the USB ports deep in it.

Sure! First, here's the new part: View attachment 12672

Insert a panel tool or screwdriver like so (I used a razor blade)

Push back on it and the old one'll just pop right up:

Now, simply unplug the old one and swap them out, pop the new one back in, and you're done! Literally took me 2 minutes:

Now just plug your iPhone in and enjoy all that CarPlay has to offer!

My pry tools were also too long, used a razor blade. Just be careful, my blade broke and a piece fell into the abyss, but I was successful!

I haven't been able to get availability at the dealer, but I have been able to find GJ7Z-19A387-B through ebay for $66.00. Is that the going rate? Even Tasca shows it "Not For Sale". Did any of you purchase from another source?

Is that Walt Sweeney Ford selling parts well over MSRP on eBay again? I actually bought it from them on eBay hoping they'd be in violation of eBay's seller policies for listing the item if they don't actually have it in stock. I did receive it quite quickly, so they definitely did have it on-hand. That was almost a month ago though. Maybe talk with their online parts department, probably more helpful than your local dealership.

How much is the part supposed to actually cost?
fordparts.com lists it as $63.01 actually --I could have sworn the msrp listed on tascaparts and others was more like $50 but eh. Totally worth the premium if walt sweeney can deliver it. I'm sure Ford isn't going to announce anything until a while after this supply issue is resolved. Dealers are going to need a bunch of the parts in stock.
