Hey guys so installed mine to 2.2 with no issues. Only thing is that sync seems very laggy. Also whenever I click on something in the settings, it's like it doesn't want to respond unless I click on one of the bottom tabs like settings/audio or phone etc. Anyone else noticed this? Mine is a 2016 without sat-nav

I ended up with both updates giving the message of update successful but it only showing v.1.0 .

After a cycle off and on it works but still shows 1.0

I used an old 4gb USB formated exfat , one update at a Time with format in between, unzipped to desktop and copied to drive. Windows 10.
16 fiST non nav.

I have the same issue on my 2016 mustang non-nav. Android auto works, but says sync ver 1.0. It is also slower to boot up and I notice some on screen lag. I did the 2 part install. I have since tried doing the 1 part install for the non-nav, but I get an error during install. Has anyone been able to fix this or is that just how it is going to be?

I had the same problem, tried reinstalling but update 1 wouldn't load kept giving me an error but update 2 would complete but one of the softwares didn't show a version number. Try doing update 2 again and see if it works if not I got a way around it but had to split it into 3 installs.

The other day I started the car and it did not allow me to enable Android auto (day after xmas) though maybe Ford pushed an update or something. I tried cycling the phone and car with no luck.
Drove 50miles stopped for gas and then it worked like normal.

TL:DR it's glitchy and I've no good way to solve it.

yep all is good now...boot is still slow on the mustang icon and some sluggishiness here and there so hopefully they have an update for those issues soon. just happy to have the android navigation now. I didn't get the car with nav in anticipation of this coming out.

Just to update on this, I did a master reset and it seems to work fine now. It still at version 2.2 after the reset. Have to get my hands on the module now.

Does anyone have a picture of their new USB module trying to compare and see if it will work for Taurus?

Not sure if you have found out yet but the nexus 6p isn't on the list either but works great make sure you have the android auto on your phone and have android auto turned on on the radio and a good working USB cable I'm sure your phone works just possibly a newer cable or a certified cable?
My cable is the 6 foot USB a to c from google when I bought the phone.

To my surprise (or rather, not) Ford still hasn't released this update officially.

I wonder if its kinda like android updates you can get a ota update but not posted on their site.
Has anyone tried doing an ota update before doing usb?

So my local dealer ended up being back ordered. I ordered it online from Walt Sweeney Ford yesterday and it got shipped out today for anyone trying to get ahold of one.

Yay I have CarPlay!

I don't know how you did that. It connects for text messages and ford app and that's it. I can't my phone to show on the sync at all. I upgraded and everything. Is there a app I need? I'm using the iphone 6

You upgraded the software and installed the updated USB module hardware?

Idk didn't have to do anything special

Check the phone settings for CarPlay and make sure everything is done there.
