I thought with NAV it was a one part update

Also, now that its done i have the read me and the upgrade file. but even though i extracted it and moved it to the flash drive.. its still zipped? but the files inside are not zipped.
Here. Put this on your jump drive as is.

So to be clear, when finished, what you should see in your jump drive is:

Readme file
&
Upgrade file (folder)

for some reason the macOS built-in archive utility doesn't like this zip from google drive, but if you install The Unarchiver from the app store https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-unarchiver/id425424353?mt=12 it can unzip it just fine.
I did the install yesterday. I had someone on another forum send me two files which worked fine. Had to download the first file Update 1 , then erase it from the stick and put on Update 2. First one took 15 min, the second one took like two seconds. Update 2 just said Kingston Indexing on the top of the screen. I got the Ok message after install.

So are you saying that it's working 100% now?

Awesome! Glad to hear it. Although, someone did mention a place that had a ton of them in stock. If it wasn't on this thread, it was in the RS one.

Can anyone confirm if my download links are still working? I apologize if anyone has had issues, my Google Drive may have hit its sharing capacity.

Tried to update and got "The installation has run out of space or does not work with this version." V1.0 Nav, followed the read.me to the letter.

Going to have to try again later. Work beckons.

Let us know if you get past this. My most recent attempt resulted in the same error message (and also set my clock forward by 3 hours.) This was doing a full format of the 8gb flash drive to FAT32 and then letting the install run for 40min. No dice, and the next time I started my car I got that space/version error.

I was able to install on the second try. Here's what I did differently:

1) I used a different flash drive (4GB this time instead of 8GB).
2) I was sure to extract the install directory and read.me files to my hard disk first, THEN copied them over to the USB. Previously I extracted them straight to the flash drive.

Hope these tips help. Not sure which solved it for me, to be honest.

I bet that's the reason for the delay of the release.

Well, you are welcome to wait, but as of yesterday Walt Sweeney Ford had plenty of the Lincoln version in stock, I asked the parts guy myself. I got mine from them last week and had it in 2 days, works great!

Walt Sweeney doesn't have the part in stock that I ordered elsewhere (HU5Z-19A387-A), but they do have part # GJ7Z-19A387-B in stock. The person I spoke with says he has received no complaints from Mustang owners using this part, even though it's a Lincoln part. It is a dual USB port, not single USB, but the part is the same dimensions, so it should fit.
Also, the USB port is illuminated white, which is a Lincoln thing and blue is Ford, according to the person I spoke to.

Yes...I stated this a page or two back. That part has been confirmed working by everyone, I used it myself. The ONLY difference is the LEDs are white, as opposed to the light blue our cars had.

Thanks for the tip on Sweeney, I just ordered one. I read your previous comment a few pages back now......one question I have......The person told me it has an extra cable since its dual port....just don't connect the extra cable......do both USB ports work after install.....or just one?....thx again!

Does your current one not have 2 ports? Mine already had 2 ports, so it was literally a direct swap, unplug the 2 cables from the old, plug the same 2 back in the same ports on the new. Both ports have always worked. One cable is USB, the other is power for the LEDs. The USB cable powers both ports.
