I did it as it said, waited the 5 minutes and it doesnt seem like anything has changed. Do I have to activate it or turn a setting on somewhere?
First, when you turn your stereo on, do you get a different splash screen? That will be the first indication that it truly installed correctly.

hey guys! about to do this, ordered the hub from my dealer.

Does anyone know if this reduces the lag from phone to headunit for audio streaming?

Or does anyone else have that issue? there is about a second or so delay in what the phone sends to the car and what the speakers play via usb and bt. I use plenty of bt devices and this is the only one that does it. It makes watching any sort of media through the car speakers a real drag (when stationary of course)

If this update fixes that then I'll do it asap, but if not i'll wait till my hub comes in.
Are you guys talking about watching video on your phone and hearing it through Bluetooth?
Every time I ever played anything via bluetooth it has not sync'd with video properly (Accept the apple tv for some reason).
I thought that was a side effect of bluetooth honestly

After countless tries... all I get is "Bad Installation File: One or more of the files being installed on your system did not install correctly"

Im assuming im not transffering the data correctly to the flash drive. Any one have thoughts?

I figured it out, you need to turn it on in the settings menu. All good here. The nav is nice. And it doesnt kill your battery because the phone is plugged in.

Where did you get the original download from? The original post or the Dropbox file that I posted?

Did you unzip the file? Right click on it and hit extract all and then save it to the cleanly formatted flash drive.

Did the update with nav, took no time at all. Maybe 15 mins, not even. Still haven't been able to source the USB hub though

Try going to the drive in file finder. Right click it. Hit format. Then make sure its fat32. Then make sure you right click the file 1 and hit extract all and select the drive. Dont drag and drop. And make sure you format the drive. Don't just delete everything manually.

I think you replied to the wrong person.

Check my recent post image of the Dropbox file.

All you should put on the jump drive is the readme file and the ENTIRE folder that is labelled "upgrade file"

I use Bluetooth headphones every day with my iPhone and YouTube videos work just fine. In the Volvo xc90 it works fine too. Just the fiesta do I have this problem. And I'm curious but what Bluetooth is your apple tv doing?

Okay. So dropbox keeps saying error downloading.

But i have the file from the link on the first page. Im right clicking that file, extracting all(putting it straight into the flash drive) and i should be good to go, correct? Any other steps

Only one folder at a time. So first is upgrade 1 then you do upgrade 2. Don't put both on at the same time.
