What's the average time it's been taking for everyone? I keep seeing 15-20 minutes, but I have updating on my 30ish minute ride to work and it wasn't done even after sitting for 5 mins in the car when I arrived. I'm going to give it another go on my way home, just want to know if I'm maybe having a problem.

20-30 minutes depending on the car and if it's a navigation or non-navigation update.

Does it say update in progress on the top of the screen? If not then the drive isn't formatted or sorted correctly.

No that doesn't matter. Typically takes 20-30 minutes but may take longer depending on the car or circumstances. Are you currently on version 1.0?

I am. Maybe the combination of me being on 1.0, driving, and it being 0F out this morning had something to do with it.
Also, not all flash memory is created equal. There will be differentials in speed from drive to drive. Part 1 alone is 1.7GB. That's a good sized amount to copy from a relatively slow storage medium.

That's true too, slow or older flash drives can drastically change the time it takes to load the update.

Ordered the USB hub at my local dealer should be in next week. For the meantime will stuff like texts and pandora still work through Bluetooth?

Welp, after running windows-based smartphones since before there was an iphone or android, I am going to assimilate into the ad-borg. Just picked up a OnePlus and ran the non-nav update, and have Android Auto up and running.

Sync 3 totally broke how I use my phone in my car, with my old head unit I could just hit the voice button and get to Cortana as a voice guided assistant, but Sync 3 does not have a way to do this. So this fixes what was a big step back for me as far as functionality goes.

Going to reserve judgment on Android until I spend a few months living with it, but for now I really appreciate having a much more integrated nav, a voice guided digital assistant back in my life, and being on a mobile platform that actually gets apps developed for it.

Now there is just the small task of moving my entire mobile life to a new platform.

Yep, functions of bluetooth itself still work just fine like before.

Decompression failed? What operating system is your computer running?

Push and hold the voice recognition button on the steering wheel for 2 seconds to activate the Google voice assistant. It's actually pretty slick. Last night I held the button, said "OK Google" It chimed or something to acknowledge me. Then I said "Text Wife". It asked me what I would like to text. I said my peace and it read it back to me perfectly then asked if I'd like to send or cancel. I said send and that was it. Wife responded and it read it back to me. All while driving. It was pretty magical actually lol

Just got done with the update on my non-nav unit. No issues. I have my USB hub ordered. How do you replace it? Just as soon not have the dealer do it.

Just to confirm, the part that has confirmed to work is the one linked in the first post? Or is it a different part?
