WOO! Another satisfied customer!

FYI, in case anyone else gets this - When the second part (non-nav install) got done, it gave the "I'm done, you can remove the flashdrive", but when I took it out, it said "Device removed, installation paused; will resume when vehicle restarts". Kinda freaked me out. I waited 5 mins (per the instructions), restarted, and it works. No problems.

I forsee issues with having my ipod classic also plugged in through USB.
Mine gave a message saying it would connect to only one device via usb - or something...I should have paid better attention. I will see if it does it next time I plug in.

Yeah, something along the lines of sync will only update from the first device connected via USB. I unplugged both devices then plugged the phone in and AA installed. Then plugged the ipod in after installation.

Mine worked! :D It seems to have fixed some minor glitches I was having too. But that Android Auto sure is nice. Got my update done about a hour ago and used the nav on way home just for fun. It was awesome! Worked like a charm.

I seem to have been the only one who didn't wait the 5 minutes after install. Mine worked immediately including the NAV.

So i have done the install, Sync shows V2.2 running in the car, I have a Samsung Note 5 and when I try to connect the phone after the car has been turned on via USB, nothing happens. nothing on the phone, nothing on the car screen.

I got a message for about half a second that is the AA Agreement that pops up the first time and it disappeared right after that. Hasn't come back on the screen. Can anyone help me diagnose this?

No, I shut the car off, turned it back on almost immediately, and it worked fine. I don't think I've ever seen someone wait the full 5 minutes at work either. Nav took 30 seconds to a minute to come on, but that's to be expected. Works great, and I love having Google nav again, especially traffic. I need to see if it fixed my Sirius issue too.

did you start Android Auto app on the phone?

Did you connect the phone via USB to the car?

There are roughly 378 prompts and next's and ok's and yes and accepts and other crap to click through...

I didn't have the app open, I'll try that in the morning and see where I get with it.

For the first time, you have to open the app to allow the standard permissions. After that, the next time you start your car all you'll have to do is plug in the phone and it will automatically start.

I had an issue with the non-nav version. 2016 fist, v1.0 software. Freshly formatted flash drive, unzipped the first file to the root, started the car, plugged in the drive. Got the updating software message but after 45 minutes no change in status. Gave up and pulled the flash drive out and it didn't pop up any message at all. Next time I started the car I got an error about being out of space or incompatible version. Everything seems to be working as it was before attempting the update (yay, didn't accidentally brick my head unit,) settings still show as at v1.0. Planning on resetting to factory defaults in the morning and starting over unless someone has a better idea.

Is this something the dealership will/can do? Does doing it yourself affect the warranty at all?

I didn't wait...

I wasn't brave enough to try that Lol
...because I didn't know that I should. Does that make me brave?

I bet they would do it no problem as long as you pay them to do it. Does not affect warranty one bit.

I got mine working with my Note 5. Make sure AA is enabled in sync and the phone app might have to be open too.

Could be you aren't using Samsung wire. For some reason mine was glitching with a non Samsung cable and was all fixed when I grabbed the Samsung cable at home.

Agreed. I had to find a USB cable that fit so well into my phone that you can feel the little snap when pushed in. The first cable was weak and it kept glitching.
