[h=1]Ford spices up its hot hatchbacks for SEMA and adds customized Fiesta and Focus models to its SEMA lineup.

Ford hopes to bring 50 customized cars to SEMA, and the latest additions to the lineup include one Ford Fiesta and five Focus hatchbacks. Some look like rally machines for the road while others just sport a fancy paint job.

The lone Fiesta ST is built by Tucci Hot Rods with a custom wide-body kit. It has been lowered, and retains the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine but now features an upgraded turbo, custom exhaust system, as well as a Cobb Accessport V3 ECU upgrade. The clutch has also been updated with a Spec Stage 4 kit. Custom exhaust with Borla muffler and Mountune limited-slip differential add to the fun.

The customized Focus models include: a 2016 Focus ST by Blood & Grease with a matte black paint job, a 2016 Focus ST by Cinemotive Media with fender flares and performance upgrades from Mountune, a 2016 Focus RS with an updated twin-scroll turbo kit and a gray and orange paint job by Full-Race Motorsports, as well as a 2016 Focus RS by H&P Special Springs/Stanceworks with rally-inspired graphics.

The most promising hatchback, to us, is the Focus RS by Roush Performance. The more aggressive body kit gives the hatchback a more menacing look, while Roush's shortblock assembly, performance calibration, and improved cooling system bumps power up to 500 horsepower.

Ford already revealed its modified Mustangs, Fusions, and F-150s for SEMA earlier this month, which leaves its crossovers and SUVs as the last vehicles to get the SEMA treatment.

Its a little too wide for me, but not half bad looking. cool to see they are modding the cars as well. I would like to see the RS also. "more aggressive body kit" sounds intriguing.

That actual pic from SEMA looks a HELLUVA LOT better than the 'rendering' in the first post, and the WHOLE deal would look PERFECT if it were a 3 door! [thumb] [:)]

I wonder if this car will eventually end up on the auction block or something. What happens to these custom SEMA builds?

They gave the Gulf Livery Focus ST away one year. Somebody won it and then it ended up at a dealer. I met the guy that bought it at FocusFest this year.

We can only wish! :)

I wish we had some insight into how it drives. It looks very cool, but the scrub radius must be immense and can't imagine that the steering isn't hosed.

Luckily I got to see it in person, since I be a SEMA MEMBER!! yay Typically Ford stores their builds. Very rarely do they let their custom builds go. If they do let one go it will go to a Ford Employed Designer or Builder for a special occasion.

You can email them and ask them how it drives. Car wasn't a Ford build. It was presented by Tucci Hot Rods in Marcy, NY http://tuccihotrods.com/2016-ford-fiesta-st
Here is the Hood vent install along with the rest of the build in a matter of 2min: https://www.motoroso.com/FordSEMA20...cci-Hot-Rods-–-Installing-Hood-Vents-FordSEMA
