^^^I'm going to guess that those OA FiSTs had no tunes whatsoever on them, not even a warranty legal, MP215, correct? [dunno]

I've heard the only modifications the OA FiSTs have are the cooling system. I guess no one knows...

when I attended STOA the question was brought up as to what mods were done to the Fiesta ST's for the program and were told the following things were changed or added.

- roll bar
- rear e-brake
- radiator

Does anyone know WHICH radiator STOA used in their FiSTs, or do we just take for granted that they used a Mishimoto? [dunno]

I attended STOA before Mishimoto even started development for their FiST radiator so I don't think its a Mishi if they did swap out stock one. I think it's custom, just like the roll bar and e-brake. The only product they publicly announced any affiliation was the BFG tires.

THANKS! [thumb]

I WISH that company STOA used would start up mass (or at least not one at a time) production to sell to the public so that we'd have a viable alternative to the Mishis. [wink]

here's a shot that shows the lower radiator hose connected to the lower end tank of an aluminum radiator using the OE fan/shroud, so other radiators besides Mishi do exist just not as mainstream or readily available.

^^^So what you are saying is that; C&R, Ron Davis, Griffin, Fluidyne, etc., etc., might have units that would actually work in our application already?? [???:)]

They told us they had an upgraded radiator but didn't know who the manufacturer was.

Also I hit 220 driving to work on cruise control and have seen as high as 245 in the canyons. These cars drive too damn hot

I'm not saying that at all. I'm just showing that apparently there are aluminum radiators floating around in the universe besides Mishimoto's. If anything, I think there's several customs radiators out there that were made on a case by case basis and not for public consumption.

Just an FYI, someone reached out to CSF Radiator about a year ago and apparently they were working on one, no updates since. You may want to inquire....

As for STOA FiST having an aftermarket radiator or not, it's all up in the air unless someone can show a photo either way. Personally, I don't think the car needs it for the type of use the cars were getting at STOA.

OK, Thanks!

I will look into the CSF lead. [thumb]

Mountune just released a Fost radiator. They say Fist is next.

CSF is listed on the Mountune website as being the company that is making the Mountune FOST radiator. Mountune has confirmed that the FIST is next.

I'm glad I waited for something other than Mishi.
