I've previously had the atp 2560 kit. And while I did get it to roughly 300hp I found the quality very lacking and the kit was to laggy for my taste.
I am currently running the DHM 290R quickspool kit. The quality is amazing and the spool is better then the ATP by about 1000rpm. Sadly, I want more power. So as of next weekend I will be be the first DHM 360R with a gen 2 gtx turbo.

Which turbo does the 290r kit use? Does it spool that much faster due to the manifold/downpipe? I imagine russ does a good amount of tuning magic on it as well but does the quality of a tune affect the spool characteristics?

I dynod with two other fists and they were bout as expected so I think it's all pretty much right on. They were both around 192 whp and one had over 280 tq.

I went from 165whp to 241whp on a real life dyno pro tune (adjusted the vehicle weight to make the vDyno match real life dyno). Since the 2554, added at 2jr intake, put the factory cat-back back on and will hit approx 2450lbs this winter. It hits 16 psi at 3500 and slowly goes up to 18-19.5 depending on air temp. I HATED the stock turbo at stage 3, it was useless down low with 280 ft/lbs for a 200 RPM window. I like the 2554 b/c it feels like a N/A motor, great for autocross. On 90F days, the 2554 has enough power to spin new 205/45/17 RE 71s in 2nd gear. Anymore power would be a waste for what I use it for.

I wanted to do something different and save some money, so I decided to piece together my own turbo kit using quality parts. Buying used where I could, I saved probably close to $1000 compared to buying a big turbo kit. Car was tuned by russ from DHM and hit 388 on the dyno before we decided to bring it down a notch. Super happy with how everything turned out. Aiming for mid-low 12 second 1/4 mile in the spring. Details of parts are in my build thread

I am now running the DHM360R kit with the gen 2 GTX2860. I have some false knock issues. so russ was safe and backed timing out for now

Here is with the timing in it. I'm hoping TTR mounts will solve my problems

This car is an absolute animal with the 360R kit and DHM tune.

Yes sir I'm running stratified aux fuel until a good port aux fuel set up comes out.

That's what I have been holding out for, but Iight just go with the stratafied this spring so I can get to those 350-360 numbers until I get a built engine some day. By then we should have a good port injection option and I'll hop up to the 67.

GT2554r here
who else is running a 54r?
I will be very soon! It's currently sitting in a box in my living room. I'm just waiting till after I get back from cali at the end of this month to install and work on getting it tuned. While I have been waiting I was reading about porting the exhaust manifold and also the v-band flange to help with a quicker spool. Did you do this if I may ask?

I hand ported the adapter and ported the flange on a BP racing manifold. BP manifold freed up some power up top. (got the manifold cheap used, wouldn't recommend buying it new-not worth the $). This was all on my previous setup. Now running a Deadhook kit.
I would recommend sending the manifold and adapter out to Sourskittle for porting. And shameless plug I believe I have an extra manifold if you don't want downtime or core charge.
