Whoever wants to grab these. They would be a great replacement for stock. They are super light. When I went to test fit them over my BBK I got to pick one up with out the tire and I'm guessing the weight is 100% correct. The finish looks very nice up against the magnetic as well. I just wish I could run them without a spacer #BBKproblems

lol then I'm waiting on you before adding these to my signature ;) what size tire are you planning?
I've got a stretch going on, I thought they were 215's but I'm going to be running a 205 40 17 firehawks. I'll be going wider once these go out, but they have a lot of life left.

As posted many times the sidewall size is not what you need to go by, look up the actual section and tread width, diameter and weight for any tire you are interested in as they can be all over the place.

I just looked at Firehawks, many versions, you have to look up the specific one to get the correct info, tirerack is the best place.

Tirerack doesn't seem to stock the ones I have. Here are the specs though:

The good news is that it shows rim width of 7-8" so I should be just fine.

Also this post:http://www.fiestast.org/forum/fiest...m-dynamics-pro-race-1-2-17x8-48mm-bronze.html

17x8 +48 in 215 40 17 on the super wide Z2s? Yeah that's a winner if they aren't running spacers.

Should also note in this example above that RallySportDirect also has Eibach Prokit springs installed mentioned below in same thread...

But does that make a big difference with internal clearance around the spring and strut?
No...just height clearance which is still good to note since 215/40's are slightly larger dia and still appear to fit well even with a 0.7~0.8" Prokit drop...

exactly...

So...To summarize there shouldn't be any problem with running a 215/40-17 on Advanti 17x8 et45 even with a ~0.8" drop...

Yeah, sorry I'm talking out loud, I'm in 100% agreement with you. Didn't want you to think I was disagreeing with you.

lol ok, that's all I'm worried about is rubbing on the inside. If the Z2's in 215 fit on a +48 almost any tire in 215 should fit on a +45 since the Z2's run really wide.
Those are the Dunlops in 215/40-17 on the left??

I think I just made my wheel/tire choice, even if I have to concede some mass for the decision! [thumb]

Z2's on the left, Z1's on the right. Both the "same size"

255/40/17

Just put on today. if they're good enough for Mercedes Petronas AMG F1 team they're good enough for my ST.
I modified your pic you posted above such that we could get a better look at your new Advanti wheels...they look great! [twothumb]

F1 and street tires have nothing in common, one cannot expect the street tires to be the best bet, not in the least.
I believe that he was referring to the WHEEL brand, NOT the TIRE brand. [wink]

(I don't think that Pirelli makes a 205/40-17 which I'm guessing is the size tire on those Advantis, but maybe they do? [dunno])

Pirelli PZero Nero come in 205/40/17. Tire rack carries them
