Damn 29psi. I'm only seeing 25-26...are you running the Tune+ IWG actuator? E30 / meth?

I'm hitting the same (25-26 psi) boost range as you, but my power is good (280 on E30), and would more boost make any difference in whp if I am already close to being maxed out in power with stock fueling?

I'm looking forward to lower temps come fall and to seeing if the cooler more dense air has any effect on boost. These 100F days are killing my cruising and idle charge air temps (car feels more sluggish than in cooler temps), and also the heat is causing my coolant temps to easily spike beyond 200F when getting on the car for any duration.

Alright, it's been said over and over bit this is the perfect turbo. A little background on me, I came from the subi community. I had an 04 sti. First I had all the bolt ons. After a while I was an idiot and went the big turbo route and lost the fun low end solid power. Yes I had a good punch from 4200 rpms bit I lost the fun drivability in the car. Fast forward to now, I got the fist and set my line in the sand at just stage 3 bolt ons and tune. After a while I found myself shopping for yet another "big" turbo. After reading some reviews and doing research, I decided on the x37. It was the only choice for.me. price line is perfect, retains the stock spool and adds good power throughout the entire powerband. Having installed ot and gone through adam Tune+, I'm completely satisfied with his service and product. I hit 29 pounds of boost the other night and just wow. Jaw on the floor. Stock housing turbo just screams. For all of those on the fence, make the purchase. You will not regret it. If you have little to no mechanical skills, have a friend help you install.
Good feedback. I've been pretty much sold, buy it really helps to hear your impression since you're from a turbo car background and it sounds like we are both looking for the same setup in the end.

I saw those numbers at 11am with it at about 67 degrees outside, flat road. It held pretty good as well. That was peak boost as well. Turbosmart IWG as well on e30.

Yeah I was looking for somthing reliable. This fit the bill. Don't get me wrong, there may be other options out there that will do just fine too but this was the option that best fit my needs for stock spool, good top end and a broad powerband. This is it.

Did it change your exhaust att all? How's the power feel? What fuel?
Exhaust sound is SLIGHTLY different. It's a little lower pitched and the idle sounds better. Idling doesn't sound as "hollow" as before. Its def solid sounding. I am getting a few more pops than before, too.

The power has really started to kick in after the 3rd revision. It doesn't have the initial mule kick of the stock turbo at the lower rpms but that is to be expected considering the change in size of the internals of the turbo.

3rd gear is a hoot and pulls all the way to my 6900rpm rev limit. 4th gear is no slouch either but I expect it to get better with some more revisions. I'm really looking forward to maxing it out on 93 E10.

Once the tune is finalized maybe I'll do another vid of the flyby similar to the one I have posted on youtube for comparison.

The third revision is where I definitely noticed the new power. Completely different car up top. I think the 4th revision was my final (for 91 octane) e30 took I believe 3 revisions as well.

Love to hear a 'updated exhaust' video for sure! I also wonder if you'll have more power, as you're the only one pairing it with the ps manifold

No sure on the power aspect with the manifold, but I currently don't have the large bore turbo inlet on the car. I am not sure how much difference that makes as I haven't asked Adam yet.

Well mine is now officially installed and so far leak free.

I'm Cobb stage 3 and upgraded to DHM intercooler.

Wife says she can hear the difference in the exhaust when I come and go. Says it sounds better. Has more of a hey... what's that noise...

The other thing you will notice right away is the induction whistle noise? It's loud and starts as soon as boost starts to build.

I'm on Cobb stage 0 and didn't go over 6psi. So no word on power. Time to start the tuning.

It does come with it. The delivery of my turbo was slightly different than most due to extenuating circumstances. I should be getting the elbow after Adam gets the next batch of turbos.

Turbo and base tune are in. It's running at 18psi. You can definitely tell the power band has shifted up which is great! Looking forward to the revisions to see how far it goes. Still getting used to that whistle....

So I don't know a lot about turbos, by if the X37 is a modified stock turbo, why does SourSkittle even need one? Can't he just just do what they did and make his other changes as well?
