DHM quick spool kit

So I'm a few months shy of getting the quick spool kit for my 16 fiSt. Trying not to charge it but homeownership makes these things slow. Just have a question for now I'm sure I'll come up with more. I don't mind spending the $120 extra for the recirc wastegate but do people recommend going external? Also since it now has a BOV u assume the tune disabled the stock DV? But what happens with the stock DV just stays there and plugged in?

Go with the external waste-gate if your not too concerned with the glorious sound of it opening up and silly emissions. Its the better option for boost control. The quick spool kit doesn't use the stock DV so you don't have to worry about it, all vac lines for boost control are wired to the BOV coming off the hot-side pipe, and assuming DHM is tuning you, the tune will take care of everything else.

Well I have to pass emissions but in CT we just plug obd so the open waste gate won't be an issue as long as all readiness monitors are ok. And I do love the sound of open WG. And DHM does the Etune so I'll be staying with that I won't be doing fuel system so I have to keep it within those limits

To clarify something airjor didn't touch on:

The stock diverter valve is literally located on the turbo. So by replacing the turbo, it goes bye-bye.

DHM includes a hot side charge pipe which has a BOV flange, and yes, the stock diverter valve can be disabled in the tune (meaning it gets unplugged and stays in the stock turbo), which DHM includes for free with the purchase of the quick spool kit.

oh yes I actually didn't think about that, you would think I would have realized seeing as I did the boomba DV plate.

and a side note:
does anyone recommend any other supporting mods. I will have an intake and intercooler by than I already pre ordered mishimoto intake and ordered a COBB intercooler with hard pipes yesterday. Other than what I have listed in my sig plus these 2 things what else?

I'd forget the Cobb IC and get the DHM Race but other than that... you sound good.
Do I need hard pipe kits or just the intercooler upgrade as the selection on the drop down menu?
thanks!

The quickspool kit comes with a hotside pipe included.

You just have to buy the intercooler, it will all fit just like stock.
