Second coat of this before the salt.

EXACTLY what I am going to use to stave off the 'salt soup' conditions here! [thumb]

I had the car 'Ardexed' (like a less costly Opti-Coat treatment), but still want at least 2 coats of 845 on it before the sodium/calcium chloride storm.

Now that the cold has returned, I need to find a 50*F day to do this. [:(]

Glad my FiST is tucked away in the garage now and saved from the ravages of winter. Driving my 2006 Ford Fusion base with the 2.3 L Mazda engine and 5 speed standard. Picked it up last year with only 71,000 km's (40,000 miles on it)
Runs perfect and actually gets the same mileage as the FiST, but granted does not get driven hard.
Have Michelin winter X ice tires on it. No stress winter driving and no sadness when the gravel and salt do their number on it.

Yea I was saddened by the idea of driving the fiesta in the snow. But I already have a mustang and an f body in the garage so it only made sense.

No not at all! Lol The fiesta does everything better then the mustang. Everything. It's just that the stand is almost 30 years old and has never seen a winter so my thoughts are; why now? And the trans am has 25k miles on it and it's not going anywhere.

I'd definitely try it on red man. Plus protection over looks

Oh no, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying not to do it. Just that the mirror finish looked really nice on your car and that it might not look so nice in red. Nothing major. Here it doesn't typically snow in winter so it's not really a big issue. Sorry, I know that was a pretty superficial comment. Never had it done on my car before. This is actually the first I've seen it so I'm probably being somewhat ignorant about it.

Bolded above in MY area as well!

Besides, there is probably not too much else out there which would give a "mirror finish" to the Magnetic color, NO MATTER the co$t/rarity of it (Souveran, or other Pinnacle or Wolfgang type waxes, etc.?). [wink]
