I love this look... BostonDriver did you just use alacantra : black and silver for color and stitching?

Yes, went with all black Alcantara and the silver stitching to match the factory stitching on the seats

Wow. Must. Have.

Price isn't too bad either. Combine this with the shift boot and the door inserts to create a decent semi-upscale interior.

Bringing this back from the dead because I was going to ask this EXACT question (Did ANYONE ever have Redline Goods make an alcantara cover for the stock wheels??), since I got so much S**T for asking about full on aftermarket alcantara wheels which eliminate the exploding whoopee cushion.

This is SOOOO sweet, it SHOULD BE a stand alone FACTORY option!!!

Are you listening Ford?!?!

Really want to get their whole get-up for my interior...

Alcantara wheel cover, shift boot, arm rest pad/cover, and door inserts for the front. I want to do red with blue stitching. It's not for everyone, but I've always loved how the two colors compliment each other and go good together, and it will fit my overall "theme" for the car.

For what this is, I feel the price is on point especially after all their discounts; $271 bucks shipped for faux-alcantara or $400 for the real deal. Probably will be the best and most appreciated mod I will do for the money besides a tune. Hopefully I pull the trigger on this stuff sooner than later...

^^^Those were the prices they quoted you for EVERYTHING you listed above??

How hard is it to swap out the door inserts on these cars?

Yeah man, thats for everything listed with faux alcantara...real alcantara is 50% more. No idea about the door panels. Their prices have always been very good for 100% custom products made to order, and the quality is top notch.

Redlinegoods installed it since they needed the wheel on hand to develop the pattern. They will be selling the covers for people to do the install themselves though. Looking at their videos of other cover installs it doesn't look too difficult.
Do you know if they sent it out to Poland to actually be stitched, or did they do it in house in order to test the fit first hand??

My guess is that anyone else who wants them to install it involves a LONG wait (but WELL WORTH IT!) for it to be sent to Poland, installed, and sent back, like most of their steering wheel labor. [:(]

NO DOUBT, as I have NEVER heard a bad comment about their products, or the quality thereof, on ANY forum at ANY time (and I've been on A LOT of them), save for the wait for them to install items themselves, mentioned above.

According to their description of the professional installation on their website:

LEATHER STEERING WHEEL COVERS - INSTALLATION SERVICES

Hi! My name is Nora and I'd be happy to be your installer. Please read the FAQ below to find out more!

1. So, how does this work?

When you order a RedlineGoods.com leather wheel wrap, it will be delivered to you for quality inspection. You might wonder why not send the wrap for installation directly. Well, since you need to ship us your wheel anyway, adding the wrap to the box won't make any difference in price of shipping the wheel to us for installation, and will give you a chance to check your wrap - make sure the colors are just as you wanted them to be, make sure there are no blemishes on the leather and that overall it looks just the way you want it to!

Remove your wheel (or have your mechanic do it for you), and send it to me along with the wrap. We'll take it from there! :)
2. How long is the turnaround time?

The wheel will be shipped back with the wrap installed, to the address of your choice, within 24-48 hours.

3. Can you disassemble the wheel for me?

You need to remove the airbag to remove the wheel from the car anyway. And shipping companies won't accept an airbag anyway since it could deploy uncontrollably when pressure changes on an aircraft. So please keep your airbag and do not try to send it. In order to save on shipping costs, we suggest also removing any other wheel hardware like button panels. They are very easy to remove once you have access to the airbag recess where the screws are located.

4. What type of box should I ship the wheel in?

We recommend 17x17x7 boxes to lower the shipping costs. They can be obtained through any shipping company. If you don't have bubble wraps handy, just secure the wheel with paper, foam, or anything really. The only part of the wheel that can suffer during transit should you fail to secure it properly is the old wrap... and we're taking it off anyway! :)

5. Where do I ship it to and which carrier should I use?

Please ship the wrap to

RedlineGoods c/o Nora Gonzalez
411 Gooseneck Dr. Unit B5
Cary, NC 27513

We suggest USPS or UPS ground. If you are pressed for time you can overnight it. We can overnight it back but will expect you to cover the return shipping cost.

6. How much does it cost and how to I pay?

We charge $149 for installation of a wrap or $199 if you order it with either or both extra options (thumb-grips, padding). You can conveniently check-out via our order page, just add the wheel installation to your order before going to check-out and we will contact you to book you an install date that will fit into your plans.

If you decide to add installation later, after you've placed the order for the wheel, please contact us and we'll guide you through the process.

For more information on our premium services please contact us at 919-592-9420 (9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST) or send an email to nora@redlinegoods.com.

Please take a minute to see pictures of steering wheel cover installation work we've done for past customers!

My wheel was sent to Poland because they needed to design the cover first. The wait was kind of long despite the shipping only taking just over a week. Their design had some health issues which kept her out of work for a couple weeks and I was already 3rd in line for custom design work. Wasn't an issue for me since I had bought a second wheel from a totaled FiST on eBay. Paid $70 shipped for the wheel and $65 shipping round trip. I got a good deal on the design and labor since I was the first to provide them with a wheel to make a cover from. So although it wasn't a cheap mod, it's one I enjoy every time I drive the car and don't have to feel that OEM pleather! I appreciate the Alcantara most on trackdays though

ABSOLUTELY!

Either THIS will be done, or IF I decide I can live without an exploding pillow in the wheel (and can turn off the resultant dash lights/BCM codes), a suede Sparco 383 will be installed. [:)]

I apologize for late response, only saw the thread has grown so big today...

Is this the wheel you have in mind?

Or maybe you mean the bare vinyl/urethane wheel?

Whatever it is, we'd love to work on a custom cover for it but we need the wheel for prototyping. Anyone have such wheel laying around and want to send it over to Poland in exchange for a free cover?

:)

Take care

You're confusing me!

From Wikipedia: "Alcantara is composed of about 68% polyester and 32% polyurethane, giving increased durability and stain resistance. The appearance and tactile feel of the material is similar to that of suede, and it may be incorrectly identified as such."

If Alcantra is a synthetic material, what is "Faux Alcantara"? Do you just mean a no-name knock-off?

My guess, (but I could be wrong here, and Redline, PLEASE come on here and correct me if that is the case) is that the 'faux' stuff is more like what is generally referred to as 'microsuede', which is actually a fine, brushed, 'peached', cloth material??
