Glad you like the look. I bought mine from eBay. You should be able to buy them at Honda dealerships as well, since many other cars uses the same styled antennas. It should be around $12.00.

I didn't do anything awesome. Just replacing the stock antenna with one from the S2000. While I quite like the stock one that comes with our cars, it does get in the way of the spoiler when the hatch is lifted. I am not too fond of the Perrin antenna, as it kinda look like a little apostrophe mark on the car. The S2000 antenna also has no reception problems, either.
Awesome!

Installed the wing risers and the shifter bracket bushings last night. The bushings made a slight difference not as noticeable as they were in the foST (there were 4 to replace in the foST, only 2 in the Fiesta) I also installed them without taking the whole centre console/shifter assembly out. It didn't take that much more time IMO.

Since the car does not have a wing, it has a spoiler, the risers simple lift up the spoiler which some like the looks of but it is a negative performance mod, upsetting the aerodynamics Ford spent serious time on. This can effect several things, high speed stability, loss of rear grip in cornering at higher speeds, could be less stable in cross winds, loss in fuel mileage, some do not realize the negative effects, some care about looks more than function, why I am posting about it to help those that do not understand what it will do can make a more informed decision.

Personally I feel that a part with so many negative attributes cannot look anything but wrong on this great car.

I had them on my foST and noticed no loss of mpg had them on for 10,000+ km and my average was 7.5l/100 (35mpg approx) - the fiST may be different as there are two gigantic holes for the washer fluid hose and the lead for the brake light. I'll probably find a pair of ~2" grommets or so to plug them and there should be no noticeable loss of mpg

What are these winger risers you speak of?

Not around my car, so I can't get a closer picture. But they just lift it up some. I like the look of it, and unless you track your car it isn't going to "negatively affect" your aero. I drive interstate mostly to and from work, and still get 34-35 MPG, so I wouldn't worry about gas mileage either.

If we all liked the same things, we'd be boring. Haha. Thanks for the compliment on the drop. [emoji106]

RAAMaudio...while I thoroughly respect your statement and I know you have much more experience at higher speeds my only 2 experiences stock vs risers has me on the fence. I've had my car deep into triple digits and stock I felt the rear moved around a bit feeling sketchy. With the risers not so much at all. But again I thoroughly respect your opinion.

I've heard from a handful of people that agreed that it felt more stable at high speed with the risers. Most everyone else didn't care about going that fast anyways so they had no opinion or concern.

I realize I will hear back from those supporting this mod when I post such things. There are far to many variables, cross winds, road condition, temperature, air density, etc...to compare properly unless in a wind tunnel.

Second best would be on a track, same car, same conditions, back to back comparison, add in the yarn and video and then get a more comprehensive idea of just what is going on.

That is why I said "can effect" as it certainly can and I am sure at least some issues come up from this and it is obvious the manf of the risers, who makes some damn nice other parts, did not test this and if they had at least would of called it spoiler riser instead of the misleading term used, wing.

Then we also run into the possibility of it being a placebo effect, there are a number of parts sold for this car that seem to be adding that more than a real benefit.

------------

If somebody does some real testing with positive results then I may have to change my stand on this, for now, I have spent way to much time on real aerodynamics to have a hard time believing this mod is nothing but a styling effort at best and capable of inducing several negative effects at the same time. No offense meant, just how I see things and though no expert I have considerably more experience than most on such things.

------------

For those that want to do this, go right ahead, my posts are meant for those that might not be well informed and thus mislead into thinking it is more than just a looks issue.

Sincerely,
Rick

I don't see how it affects rear window visibility I'm 6'1" and I don't see any of the wing in my rear view

As for myself, the risers are purely for visibility (including the added bonus of helping keep the rear glass cleaner). The only rationale i can see for increased high speed stability would be a higher position with more angle of attack vs stock probly creating downforce, but plenty of turbulence and drag in the process.
