Ots stage 3 boost levels?

So I been reading the Cobb website and it says peak boost is 22 psi then drops to 13.5. Well ever since installing the stage 3 kit and tune I have only seen 22psi one time, that's it. Max I've seen after that has been 21.40 lowest has been 20.60, can it be I have a boost leak? Or can it be the wether change? It's been in the 50s lately so I'm thinking colder air leads to less boost which means max power is met with less boost?

When I tried OTS maps my peak boost was pretty low also. Running steady 24 to 25psi at stage 2 now. Not OTS map though.

that's kind of weird with you being so close to sea level. I'm pretty sure that colder weather would lead to higher boost, denser air and all. you may have a boost leak, it may just be your car.

I tought it was colder air less boost needed? Where are the common places this cars leak? Only place I can think off is the charge pipe but I already checked and they are good

Cold air = less boost needed to achieve the same power.

These are not boost-based tunes, they are load-based tunes.

I almost always see a lot of boost in cold weather though? could it be because my timing is perfect and everything good because of the cold air? and as you mentioned there is definetly a correlation between slope gradient and boost though

The best advice I can give you is get a protuner. I suggest Tune+, it will seriously make a world of difference for your car. The OTS tunes are so neutered. It's a $250 investment for unlimited tuning. Adam (Tune+) will be able to see if there is something funky going on with your car and at stage 3 he will bump you up to 25+ psi.

It also says +/- 1.5 psi. And I know I've seen 23.5. Had it on for 10k miles. It also helps to let the car go through ita ECU learning steps.
How long have you run that map?

Hi folks. As you can see, I just joined to share and learn with my ST project car. Let me start by saying I have modded cars most of my life so tuning is not new to me, just the ST is new. I've owned and modded many fun cars, including EVO X, 2 SRT8's, S60R, and my favorite, a 2000 Camaro SS that was a high 10 sec daily driver, to name a few.

My goal is to share my ST experience and learn from others as I continue this project. This is an "extra" car for me, so I can modify it without needing it daily, and that's nice. At under 5K on the odometer, I am currently all Cobb S3, minus the DP (more on that in a minute).

I recently had my car Etuned by Tune+. I know most of you are familiar with him, and I am very happy with his results. Protunes are certainly in a different league than the Cobb OTS tunes. As to the subject of this thread, Adam tunes about 4psi higher than Cobb S3. Yes, you'll see varying readings on the AP, but that's approx the difference from OTS S3. Of course, there's a whole lot more to a good tune than boost level alone.

One thing that I was grateful to learn from Adam was that a DP is not required until going bigger turbo. I know a lot of folks that agree with that and plenty of others that will disagree, but Adam is one of the most experienced for the Ecoboost, and he LOSES power with aftermarket DP's, including Cobbs. I am a big Cobb fan, but I do think their "requirement" for their DP going to their S3 is misleading. So I was glad to save some money knowing that, and my car is running very strong with the stock DP. I do have plans to swap the turbo, and at that time a DP makes sense for sure.

Anyway, happy to be here!!
