What did you do to your Fiesta ST today ?

Well... Not quite today but over the weekend. Installed the Boomba wing riser and did a good wash.

I just had a brand spankin new Cobb RMM installed 2/2/16. Extremely happy and it should be among the first mods imho.

As far as NVH, the engine is slightly louder while driving, pleasantly so. Slight vibration at idle and you wouldn't notice it if you didn't look for it. Idling with A/C sounds faintly like a 32ft organ pipe. Think of the beginning of "2001 A Space Odyssey," only verrry faint. Not a bad tradeoff and I definitely would not switch it back to stock.

Got my 30k oil change and got quoted for front and rear brakes and pads for $900. That seems a little high? Am I right to think that??

With parts and labor many shops will charge you out the ass and replace parts that may (or may not) be due for replacement, as a "preventative" service. I owned a non-ST Fiesta a year ago that got quoted $600 (drums in the rear, not discs). Did it myself for $75 after watching some youtube videos. If you're just doing pads, it's a piece of cake with the right tools.

As for the thread topic, I installed Cobb Stage 1 with a 93 OTS tune. Loving it!!

I have to do it all, front and rear pads and rotors. So I'm going to see if my personal mechanic can order them directly from Ford and do it. I'm sure it would be cheaper than the dealership.

I think it absolutely would. I got my pads and rotors off of Amazon, which I believe was the cheapest option, but I'm not sure what they offer in terms of ST parts since I haven't done brakes on this car yet.

I want to go OEM everything. I don't really want any aftermarket anything when it comes to the pads and rotors. I really think the OEM parts do a great thing.

I went OEM-spec when I ordered mine, but I think the brand was Raybestos instead of whatever the OEM Ford company is (Motorcraft?). I didn't notice a performance difference, but keep in mind this was on a non-ST Fiesta.

I love how strong the ST brakes are, but the brake dust is annoying for keeping my car looking clean, lol.

We got our parts from Rock Auto and there were some issues with getting the correct pads (which seem to be ST specific), but all said and done I think we had all four corners done for about $220ish. Brakes are easy on these cars if you know what you're doing.

That's the probably I was hearing also, people getting the right pads and rotors because they're specific.

Okay, they were Centric rotors, which currently they only show one rear rotor available at the moment. However they do stock Motorcraft rotors for a similar price, and a few choices in slotted and/or drilled.

I completely understand. I am curious though, if the dust issues would have been different had we done the bedding procedure immediately after picking up the car at the dealership. The car had 3 miles on it, and went from the transport truck to the wash bay to our possession, so I know the dealer didn't do it. I doubt many do.

I attempted to splice my coolant overflow tube this morning because I cracked it last night while replacing my passenger side motor mount and installing an Odyssey PC535 sealed cell battery (12lb track battery).

I think I failed in that attempt. The motor mount and battery are good but I'm still kind of broken.

Purchased some Continential extremecontact DWS tires. El Niño was pretty good and got until February riding on the stock tires but when the northeast got that blizzard I tried going around the block. No sir, the stock tires are a no-go in snow. So I picked up these tires for winter. Will go back to my federal 595 rsr in the spring.

Continential extreme contact DWS 205/50 16. Going to make a review thread after the weekend. Going upstate NY to visit a friend. Supposed to rain tomorrow and snow Saturday so I'll have a full weather review.
