Not really a fan of mud flaps, but I am even less of a fan of kicking debris all over my paint on my daily interstate commute. So I installed a set of rokblokz.

I'm not sure if I want to keep the grey decals or put on the set of green decals I also received.

So I did some racecar things today. I cut my hood and installed the rs vents. That I have had for a month. Personally, if you're not extremely handy with tools, measuring and fabricating you should not attempt things at home...

A big thank you goes to D1JL for helping me layout the cut lines and helping with the general process.

And for those wondering if do notice heat radiating out of the vents at lights and sitting in my garage. I will follow up with track day results after I install my mishimoto radiator.

Installed a K&N intake today. First impression is that it's loud as hell and I kinda like it. No pics didn't finish up until after dark but I'm happy with it.

Nice job....so your just using them for venting then? Did you look at naca ducts? I used them here on my Typhoon with a CAI and a box I made. Worked out awesome I might add....

Thanks for the suggestion but I am running them to let heat out! Since I added the oil cooler I wanted to let some of heat out.

I have the 2j intake so my air filter is in my wiper cowl. If I had a stock filter location intake. I would have put a naca duct on long ago to shove fresh air into my intake.

Just got my car back from the body shop.
It is hard to believe that such a small dent cost over $4K to repair and took almost 3 weeks to complete.

Before and after pics? or they further up in this thread? It would be interesting to see what $4K of damage looks like.

Here is the before photo.
I didn't take an after as there now is nothing to see.

This is the rear quarter I take it? It's all metal but still 4k sounds pretty asinine to me. I got my Typhoon painted and all the body work done for 3k last year and that was in my opinion a little rough with some dents and dings. An I had them paint the whole thing also.....4k though....ouch.

Well you do have to add up all of the little things.

Yes, the only body damage was just that dent.
The mirror with cap and belt molding that the mirror hit had to be replaced.
The roof molding was not damaged but had to be removed/replaced for paint blending.
Then there was the rocker molding, again not damaged but had to be removed/replaced for same paint blending and you can't buy the clips.
Of course my car is Molten Orange that is a tri-coat.
Then there is the Xpel paint protection that had to be removed and replaced.
Don't forget the graphics.

It is also funny that all of the Xpel paint protection that was removed was not because of damage but for paint blending.

I didn't even include the rental car, another $400.00.

I am sure glad it was NOT my fault.

Man down...got to change this bad boy on the side of the interstate. Of course it was the front tire, so changed 2 for the price of 1.

Got the car washed, installed a cheap dead pedal that I found on amazon (actually looks pretty good), and did my 1000 mile oil change after break in. Now I want to start testing what this car can do. Also filed my taxes yesterday so I can justify the Cobb stage 1 package. Hope to have everything installed by the end of the week!
