Great job on cleaning the wheels. There's a thread that someone had started before that it was a good short term solution but after one or two wash it became inaffective.

Started a bit of an experiment today. Washed the wheels and applied wheel wax only on the driver side wheels. I plan to drive it a week or two, taking pictures every few days to document results. I want to see three things.
1 - How much longer do the wheels stay clean and repel brake dust with the wax?
2 - How does the wax hold up to heat/dust on front vs. rear brakes?
3 - When I can no longer stand it any more, is it any easier to clean the waxed vs. non-waxed wheels?
Went from this...

Passenger side got a thorough cleaning but the wheels weren't removed because I wasn't going to be applying wax. I could get between the spokes and inside the rim pretty well anyways. With any luck, I'll get some good results from this. In the mean time, anyone have recommendations on good wheel wax/sealant? I just picked up some "Diamond Edge" wheel wax for this test.

Definitely look forward to the results.
I'll be posting back here after a few days. We'll see if there's any noticeable difference. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

Thanks! Yeah, I imagine the wax will probably get washed off eventually. Hopefully it makes the dust less of an issue though, I love the OEM pads just not the dust they make. Maybe several coats of this stuff on the inside will keep for a while so I don't have to go through this process every few washes. We'll see how it does though!

awesome experiment! I got a recommendation on here somewhere for using rain x windshield cleaner which I feel made a difference. Maybe after the wax, you could try that out?

I have tried Rain-X and now trying Meguires Ultimate Detailer on my black gloss wheels. Both of these seem to make it a lot easier to wash or wipe the brake dust and road dirt off without any special wheel cleaner. I find it has to be done every week - which will be a pain come winter

If you've got snow tires, you're going to be obsessively looking for empty parking lots. This car rocks in the snow!
I went with the 15 inch steels with the general altimax arctic. The weather has been very strange for New England the past couple months. Usually it is 30s with snow by now.

I've got the same tires. They are a bit loud on dry pavement, but excellent in the snow. I plowed through a good 6 inches this morning and didn't get stuck in the slightest.

That is what I like to hear! I've been so bummed because I spent the money on them and haven't had the chance to test them out yet.

Installed my Cobb AP V3 today, Stage 1 93 octane. Installed then realized I didn't have the latest maps so just did that. Car felt so much smoother on idle the torque is too much for my winters to handle lol.

The other night my wife installed the Cobb Stage 1 kit on her car. Went with the 91 octane tune as 93 isn't as readily available. Unfortunately the roads aren't clean enough to truly try it out, but she says it does seem a lot peppier.

Good quality, fits well, but I had to fold the bottom under about 3/8 inch to account for the reverse lockout ring.

Love this simple upgrade over a cold or expensive knob. Only took 20 minutes to lace up nice and tight. Laces are along the front center, out of sight and they look good.

Oil change back to 5w20 (from 5w30) and new air filter (oe to motorcraft)... Huge difference in mileage... Actually pretty impressed/surprised (75 mph for about 190 miles was getting 150 per half tank) drive that for again and got 200 on half a tank... (No other changes except locking cruise in at 72, and Milwaukee 5pm traffic for the last 15 miles)

PS: had 40k on the original air filter
