Regarding the longetivity of the OEM pads and rotors, I try to be easy on the brakes in city traffic (downshifting, anticipating stop lights, etc.). According to my Fuelly app stats, I am doing about 55/45 City/Highway driving.
Holy crap

Mountune Brakes

Mountune pads and OEM rotors.
Regarding this setup, the brake feel is much more linear but I have to monitor the braking process more closely as it doesn't grab quickly and requires more push on the pedal.

These are the R (street) version of the Mountune-branded Hawk pads so maybe someone here with a similar kit can build on my observations.

I also have the Mountune R pads for over 500miles now with stoptech plain rotors and have to agree with you on this. The bite isnt as good as oe and takes some warming up to get some bite. Defiantly have to dig a little deep in the pedal to stop. Sometimes i hear a little squeeking when slowing down but less than the oe pads and not all the time. Still get dust on my wheels but it takes about a week or so to notice my shiny hyper black wheels turn gunmetal color. Overall I like them but not at Mountunes price.

Took it out of "storage" for a whip 'round the block. Saw someone hit a deer. Promptly put back in "storage".

I painted my Sparco Assetto Gara wheels hyper silver today.

Full photo shoot coming tomorrow. I'm very happy with how these turned out. The orange barrels are subtle yet they still pop.

What did you do to your Fiesta ST today?

Just hit 13k miles and finally did a few things besides the AP that I've had since the car was basically new.

RMM

Damond Motorsports OCC

Also a COBB drop in filter and put the winter shoes on. I'm a little slow compared to you other guys, lol.

Drove through "In And Out Burgers" and got a "like your car" from the young fellow at the window. This happened a few times and one guy knows when I'm coming. Ditto at the KFC. [coolsmile]

Chipped/Scratched some wheels up :/

Anyone got some idea of a good place to get these blasted down and re-powdered in something a bit different now?

I would suggest having them chemicaly striped.
Blasting will leave pits and results in a dull finish.
To strip and powder coat will cost about $100.00 each.

You could just hit the bad spots with sandpaper and spray them.
They should look just fine and you don't have to remove the tires.

He is a video on how to DIY a fix as Dave suggested.

I have contemplated this however getting a good match to color may be hard. It was a mistake I won't make again as no more auto car washes unless it's a touchless!

I also really want this after looking up some different colors.

I like where this thread is going... I'm going to send my extra 1.2 wheel in and thinking of this color

I wanted something a bit different since there are a few bronze sets floating around on black cars now :) I have been back and forth on putting the whole car up on the chopping block recently tho :( Roads suck around here and I think a tank is needed with my luck recently! I believe I drove over a Miata that fell into a pothole the other day lol
