Got all my parts in Friday, so today, I installed Cobb Stage 1 and the FSWerks short shift plate, car feels so much quicker (stage 1 93 tune) and the shifts are more seamless. Planned to get the RMM installed at a local shop cause they have a lift, but all quotes were too expensive, so I bought some jack stands and did it myself. The shift plate was a little tricky, but overall easy install. All the online install videos are great. Very happy! Last thing, weather is spectacular here in Houston today. [biggrin]

Installed my rally armour flaps! Install was easy, used the spool tuning video for pointers. Adjusting them just right was kinda a pain in the balls but man i like the look. Just have to strip and paint my 01 zx3 wheels and i will be ready for winter! Went with the General artics for tires, hopefully there as good as I hear.

Sorry the picture isn't the greatest, heavy overcast today. I didn't have the flatest driveway to get an idea what was level. The bumper helped and adjusting them throughout the day. I guess it wasn't too bad.

Ordered the Mountune RMM after having the tranny checked out by my dealer for excessive shift noise. Their techs weren't able to find anything "wrong" with the car (as I expected), but were super helpful in suggesting aftermarket solutions to the problem. Definitely reassuring!

I didn't do this today but I took my Fist to willow springs on Saturday. In the second picture you can see me closing the gap on a viper acr in turn 2. By turn 6 he gave me a point by. I could literally hold the pedal to the floor in 4th gear around turn 2 and never lift. These federal 595 RSR tires are amazing. All in all my first track day was awesome. No real damage to the car (besides rock chips) and i never went off track. Not to mention the fist hurt a lot of feelings. Slow car + fast driver = great time for me. I love this little car.

Great for you, not so great for the Viper driver though:):)

I have heard really good things about those tires, let us know how they hold up for you, please.

Funny, I saw an act viper at road America for a track day on Sunday!
Haha i was surprised when this guy was holding me up. At least he was cool enough to give me the point around. There were a couple mustang GT'S that got black flagged for not letting me by. With a capable driver on a good line this car is a weapon the way I have it set up.
Glad to hear that you had fun and all went well..

Thanks it was a freaking blast and free since I helped set up the event with the Galpin Auto Sports Crew. I may go again in a few weeks with the cobra club(if the gas crew invites me again).

The tires for the price are amazing. The car is literally stuck like glue on track and on the street with these tires. They did get ride of a lot of the lift oversteer the car used to have but I like that a lot it makes for a more confident feeling at the edge. The held up on track extremely well at 35 psi, they would hold up for about the first 15 minutes of the session then slowly fall off from there. They get greasy but not to the point of being unmanageable. The only real downfalls are they make a lot of road noise and they are a 140 tread wear tire which means they won't last long. For 89 dollars a tire I will be buying them. Again.
Nice. Not every fast car has a fast driver.... And vise versa
Very true my friend. After my session with the instructor and learning the line around the course I became the fast driver in the slow car lol. The viper was my favorite point by of the day. I just hated having to let everyone pass me down the back straight because I had the lowest hp car on course lol.

Perfblue15 how did you like big willow? any "oh shit" moments? I just figured such a small car on big willow could make for some interesting moments at higher speeds.
