Thanks for taking the time to make the side by side comparison. It would be nice if more people had comparison videos like this on the forums.
Did you get a chance to do a test with the COBB stage 1 tune as well?

(helped you embed the video)
I did not do the stage 1 Cobb tune but I will do it tonight.

And yeah we need more solid comparison videos. That's wh in doing these videos. I will be doing videos like this for every mod I do. Not saying my videos are or will be perfect but at least it's something!

IMO the datalogs speak more to factual gains than a video, maybe try including data log results as well. Lots of people have provided before and after vydno comparisons between stock, cobb and strat but people like videos so....do both [biggrin]

Yeah I may try to do datalogs and vdyno's but I don't really have a road I can do it on. I MIGHT have one road but I will have to go check it out. Third gear at 7000rpm is like 90mph lol. I know there are vdyno's out there comparing everything but there aren't many videos that show real life performance comparisons. But I know even videos for comparison will vary due to temperature and other stuff.

If you can do a video of mashing a gear, you can do a datalog haha

I loaded my 91/93/e85 tune last night drove it for a while to get everything situated. My e85 map is still adding 3 degrees of positive ignition correction, do I just have good fuel? Seems like there is still more performance to be added. I'm going to do a log here in a bit and post it.

I haven't gotten negative ignition correction (at least on cylinder 1) since I first got my strat tune. I get up to like 5 degrees of positive ignition correction though idk if that's good or bad.

Positive correction is good. It means that there is still more performance left to be added to the tune. im about to do some logs and review them

I am trying to learn about what ignition correction actually is but I'm still kind of lost...

Now I am not too sure that I am going to be able to wait until even a minor break-in period has passed until I install one of Alex's flash tunes, as it sounds WAY TOO tempting!! [wink]

I didn't bother with a break in period I don't think it matters as much as some people think it does. I was doing wot pulls after 100 miles. I just hit 1000 miles yesterday

^^^Alex claims NONE, just maybe the possibility of some very long term use muffler packing damage due to the sound pressure waves, but he sounded even doubtful about that being a possibility. [wink]

It shouldn't burn the cat because it actually dumps LESS fuel into the exhaust as opposed to a standard crackle and pops tune, believe it or not.

Does anyone have a sound clip of this on a stock exhaust, by chance?

So I got the tune with pops & crackles, and I love it also curious to see what happens with v2... Anyways, my min/max ignition correction on my AP looks super high, which I assume is from the pops/crackles. Everyone I've come into contact with at Stratified has been beyond super helpful, I'm extremely pedantic about my car so seeing the ridiculous (like -20/30 corrections) made me worried but on a WOT run everything was completely normal. If you're thinking about a tune do Stratified. Just do it. Great customer service, and the car is like a whole new animal. FTR I'll include one of my datalogs I sent in when I was worried about the crazy min/max corrections, in 3rd WOT my corrections were anywhere from 0/3.

For reals; Stratified tune is best tune.
