Don't really notice any smell from the downpipe
If you're asking me if I notice a smell the answer is yes for sure. If you're in a closed environment like a garage I notice a smell when I get out of it after parking at home. That's to be expected though

Well of course you won't notice it at speed... lol air flow would carry it away that wasn't even up for discussion. You probably won't notice it in a really in an open area either.

In my garage at home or even this morning in the parking garage at work yeah... You'll smell it I'm sure your car smells too in a confined area. If not I need whatever magical engine you have that doesn't put out carbon monoxide lol

It's no big deal my catless FRS did it as well just noticeable thats all [emoji13]

I'm pretty sure I would smell in my garage at idle. I even smell it when it was at idle at the shop. I just didn't think it smell that bad where I regret getting catless. I'm happy with my purchase and glad I got catless lol

Oh for sure! I totally agree well worth the money and don't regret it ALL. I could not believe how good the welds were and zero problems installing.

Either Depo's labor/overhead is super cheaper or ALL the other manufactures are just plain raping us on pricing! There's no reason ATP should be charging $300 for a catless DP but if people are willing to pay for it...

Didn't remember if this was addressed by Depo Racing on this thread...

Do these down pipes have the same mounting points as stock? Stock pipe (and some after markets) links to a mounting bracket I noticed when changing RMM. Am I wrong, I don't see such hardware (post, bracket, whatever you want to call it) that would function as the same connection point on these DPs.

Maybe this mounting point isn't necessary... Maybe I'm just blind!

Most aftermarket ones don't require that OEM mount. You can usually discard it

Yes it does it comes with everything you need to install . Awesome downpipe
Thanks for the info I've been on the fence about the downpipe for a long time. I am going to be getting a turbo upgrade soon so might as well get one [rockon]

It's a full 3" pipe it will still bolt up to the OEM Catback though. It comes with all hardware needed and a new gasket for the catback side. The turbo side fire ring is reused from the OEM do.

I know what it comes with, I own one and please do not put out information that you are not aware of. This is not a full 3' downpipe, it tapers down to 2.5 @lower flange.

It bolt up to my mbrp with no problems but I believer the mbrp not a full 3 inch
Yes you're right. The dp goes to 2.5 @lower flange ,MBRp is 2.5 at the connection point , as it's not a full 3'

Awesome product couldn't be happier!! Surprisingly very easy to install, time consuming but easy to install. Mated up flawlessly. Great value for your money! [emoji106] [emoji2]

I am going to tackle this install too. I have done the FMIC. Just wondering, did you run into any issues during this install? You said it was surprisingly easy? Any issues with the O2 sensors did you use penetrating oil for them? how long did it take you?

Thanks!!

When mine mechanic install mines his only issue was getting the stock the downpipe out. He actually lower the subframe and then it went out. Now he didn't have to take the wipers or cowl or inter cowl off he had plenty of room up top.

Yeah everyone seems to comment on that part. Which is funny because in the COBB video they must have edited out the "wrestling with it" lol.

Hey Abe

First get some PB Blaster. Soak all the nuts and bolts that you're going to need to get off along with the O2 sensors. My car was originally from philly so it had its far share of rust already but they came off with ease after a good soak.

I personally did remove the wipers and cowl it took all of 5 minutes and gave me much more arm room in there. The initial effort/time to remove this I'm SURE lessened any time spent later frustrating to work in a confined space.

The top sensor was a bear to get off (this seems common) so much so that I left it on the pipe and tackled it out of the car. I will say I don't have an o2 wrench or socket. I used a big crescent wrench to get them off as I've always done before. Whether a proper o2 socket/wrench would have helped I don't know. I had to hit my crescent with a hammer a few times to break that bitch loose... so probably not

Since I couldn't get that o2 sensor off it wouldn't fit out the tunnel and taking it out the top as others recommend that involved removing way to much other stuff I'm WAY to lazy for that!

I found an easier way to get the pipe out and I may have been the only person to do this (never heard anyone doing it this way) just move the pipe as far as you can up towards the battery. Then grab the flex pipe and pull it up over the front axle. It took a little effort not a ton though to get the flex section over and after that it literally falls right out the bottom of engine bay.

No stupid tunnel to finagle your way out of and no removing the battery ext ext. I spent far too much time trying to get it out the tunnel(since everyone took it out that way) then after looking at it form the top of the engine bay the only thing preventing it from coming out the MASSIVE open hole in the bottom was the flex pipe clearing the front axle. A simple pull of that and it was out. Really wish I knew that going in could have saved some time.

If you need any assistance feel free to PM me I'll give you my contact info if you need it and if you were closer I'd totally help you out it was really that straight forward.

For sure! Thank you!!I will definitely keep that in mind. IDK when I'll have time to get this done, probably some time next week, but that's good to know... My car only has about 1500 miles on it so hopefully those O2s won't be too rusty [wrenchin]
