Any chance you can upload a video of the sound? I'm really interested to hear it paired with the stock exhaust.
Unfortunately my upload skills are limited to pictures but there are a couple videos out there that have been posted up on the web that sound just like how mine does. Just do a google search for "fiesta st catless downpipe stock catback". They are not the depo pipe but still sound the same. In the car i don't really notice much of a difference but out the back you can. I like that its not to loud and i like the performance.

Thanks man I did find a couple on YouTube sounds great. I actually really like it I think it's the perfect volume for a daily driver. I don't really see the performance gains from a aftermarket Catback being worth the time and money. So I'm going to go this route probably get the cat less one and get it ceramic powdered coated. Thanks again

I love my downpipe. Got the catless and I have mbrp exhaust it's loud but I like it. Not too loud on my driving it doesn't bother me or my wife. I've had plenty of louder cars. Love the backfires and flames.

Is it a pain to install? Time wise? The engine bay is so darn small I figured you have to take off stuff oft to get to it.

I am an auto tech and I did it at my shop, I had a lift. It was easy took me about an hour. Even with no lift it wouldn't be that bad. I cut the bracket studs off the stock dp so it could make it out easier. Just pop all the windshield cowl and wipers off and the top bolts are easy to get to and undo the o2 sensors and the exhaust and slide her out. I didn't use the supplied bolts they are way to long. I used new shorter bolts that were flush with the turbo so no rust build up on the showing threads.

Thanks for the reply. Would it be worth it with my stock catback exhaust? I don't want to make it any louder but if there is performance to gain I'll add it. This is my first turbo so it's all new to me

Yeah a lot of people change just the dp. The factory catback isn't restrictive. It will be a little louder without the factory downpipe, but I can't imagine it being much. With an aftermarket dp catted or not usually they throw a cel, so going stage 3 or pro tune will take it off. If that's an issue in your state.

Thanks man! I'll pull the trigger than, that price is too good to pass up. I've got a Cobb ap and yes definitely need to "pass" emissions in Atlanta. [emoji6]

So to clarify only stage 3 ots map or pro tune will turn off the cel? I'm on stage 1 ots planning getting intercooler and down pipe soon. I've heard that it is not good to run the spacers.

Word to the wise....for an auto tech with a lift, yes maybe one hour 59 minutes start to finish......but for the average Joe, just the fact that you're asking about how hard a down pipe install is means that you may not have done one before....ANY down pipe install is going to take a couple of hours minimum for an experienced person with all the right conditions and luck on their side....and many more for the average person wrenching in their garage. Just read the horror stories on other threads here. I've installed a handful of downpipes and it is not as simple as a one hour job for most of us. Maybe 2 for an auto tech with all the right tools/air/lift, maybe 4 for a garage mechanic, and that's if no bolts break and you skip lunch.

Just want to help you out before you spend your money and then have bleeding knuckles and frustration to boot.

Plus a DP only adds about +2 hp with a stock turbo.

Any downpipe is a tough job but its well worth it, one of the best mods for a turbo car. The cat sits right after the turbo and kills spool. Its a must to replace if you plan on getting a tune, thats where you get the gains.

This! I didn't mean to make it sound like its a nothing job even if that's what I said or was construed. I have done a ton of downpipe removals and as far as every one I've done this is about the easiest however it is still a big task for the average joe. Be careful about breaking or stripping bolts is the main thing.

WOW! Thanks man! I had no idea its only good for that small amount of HP. Its really not even worth my time to install it than.

That being said do you know if is required to go to stage 3 on the Cobb AP? Also if I did decide to do it and use a catless one with the stock exhaust would there be any noticeable difference or just marginal gains? I'd like to keep the sound to a minimum this time around... so I think I'm sticking with the stock cat back, and to be honest I think it sounds pretty good as is.

Thanks again for the tips!.

edit I really don't plan on upgrading the turbo in the future either..

I am sure you make fine products and was not trying to hinder sales in any way.

I would do a good bit of research before you do any modifications to your car. I am not an expert by any means and there are differing opinions about the best mod pathway for our cars. Cobb found +7 hp after adding a downpipe and exhaust. As I see it, 2 probably came from the pipe, 2 from the catback, and 3 from the tune itself. Not worth it imho.

Stage 3 tune is useless without the right hardware. Don't cheat the system your car will not run properly.

I advise against going catless. The car becomes less fun when it smells all the time and you are breathing in known carcinogens for a few more HP.

Good luck.

You wont hinder sales, but get the facts correct at least, 7 hp is after the DP and Exhaust with NO tune, a good dyno tune should get 30-50hp (40- 90 tq) with a downpipe , drop in filter and a boost controller (Call that my stage 1,lol) add e85 and injectors to get max HP gain. Cobb Access port will always be on the safe side of things and they got a respectable +23% hp with 41% tq with these parts. I do realize this may be guys first Turbo car and may not be wanting to jump into mods yet but a downpipe is a essential component to making power, the exhaust gets backed up at the restrictive cat, especially when you add a few pounds of boost. A downpipe will do 5x more then a catback would ever do. If you dont like the gas smell buy my 100 cel cat, its free flowing and cuts the gas smell.

Cobb got +7hp up from stage 2 mods/tune after adding their downpipe and exhaust and then their stage 3 tune. It's all over the Internet, my facts are straight. I am sure you have fine products for our cars and I am sure your downpipe is a great mod when coupled with a larger turbo.

Are your facts still straight? this is cobbs own page, here below, and as I said there AP tunes are on the safe side, please stop putting out misinformation especially in my thread. I just told you what can be had with those 3 mods I listed (downpipe , drop in filter and a boost controller) and a dyno tune, thats it. I dont need to list the cars i've built, I'm here to help members if they want to get more performance and not over spend.

" The ultimate, bolt-on, tuned out of the box upgrade path for your Ford Fiesta ST. Go from stock to street rocket in 4 hours flat. Includes the Accessport V3, Intake, Front Mount Intercooler, Rear Motor Mount, Catted Downpipe and Cat-Back exhaust. Ships with a OEM style COBB chrome badge so you can show the love! The Stage 3 Power Pack produces max gains of +23% HP and +41% TQ using 93 octane fuel."

members can go spend a lot on a fancy Cobb package and I do suggest a intercooler if you are in a hot climate, it will keep temps lower over the long haul and flow more air (I have a intercooler kit coming), but my 3 item list with a dyno tune at a decent place will yield great return ( I would do a flex fuel kit also, turbos love E85)

Cobbs 23% -41% was with a 200 cell Hi flow cat. My 100 cell flows more, A testpipe even more, although on a stock turbo i think the 100 cell is flows plenty.

I'm still all in on your intercooler kit when its out. I can sure use it down here in Hotlanta! Still interested in the down pipe as well but want the intercooler kit first.
