First Oil Change. Filter was tight, but gave up without putting up too big a fight. Strangely my oil drain plug was quite loose. I put on my socket and it came loose with almost no resistance at all. I did at early change at around 150 miles. I don't think the drain plug would have stayed in if I had gone the factory recommended distance.
Nothing wrong with the threads as it tightened up just fine.

Also checked all the clamps on the intercooler and associated plumbing. Most were loose, not surprised some of you had a pipe come loose. If you have a way of getting your car up on ramps, I reccoment you check your clamps... and drain plug if you have not done your first change yet.

Added DEI Reflect-A-GOLD to the lower of the two metal intake tubes in my CP-E intake:

Someday I should make a build thread...

That hot side pipe is better than mountunes, in theory, because it has less clamps and goes directly to the turbo inlet?
Also, the Mountune pipe is stainless steel and the MBRP pipe is aluminum. Not sure, but the aluminum might be lighter & shed heat faster?

Installed my COBB RMM this morning, and I love it. The idle vibrations are barely noticeable, the shifting feels so much better. I haven't run my AC yet to get a feel for that, partly because I love cruising with the windows down and hearing my Injen setup, but also because the AC running with my Injen exhaust is SO loud at idle.

Fewer clamps, and removes both constricted sections. And as OCDFist said, it's aluminum, though whether that makes a difference remains to be seen. Might be a marginal weightsaving.

Sounds good. I'm asking because I'm getting my cobb intercooler soon and don't really want to spend the extra cash for the whole charge pipe set they offer if I only need the hot side.

Do you know if either one of the hot side pipes offered will fit the cobb intercooler with no needed modifications?

This and the Mountune pipe are usable with the Cobb intercooler. They retain the stock silicone coupler tube that connects to the intercooler itself. The MBRP gets rid of more restrictions though.

Cool. Thanks man. I'll definitely look into this when the time comes. Especially since I'm hearing you really only need the hot side.

Glad to help. I was considering the full Cobb set too, then saw this. Now I just need to save up for an intercooler too.

Installed Cobb exhaust hangers on my mountune turboback exhaust and got the TB performance front 2 point brace and rear torsion bar installed.

The full Mountune front to back shot!

For those wondering. I put the Cobb hangers in the exhaust because during aggressive driving on a couple roads I frequent with some large bumps and dips that toss the car around, the exhaust would occasionally move enough to give a little bang on the tunnel. I've never once had it touch during even fast driving on more normal roads, but this one I found on my way to work is like a paved rally road! Perfect FiST road [emoji48]
