Technically if the stock air box intake is retained, then you'll have at least some cool air entering the engine bay, from which an open filter intake would draw air.
Littering and......littering and.....littering and.....where's the test data?I'm curious to see the data! Oh I did get the snorkel in the mail....looks to be a decent piece of thoughtful engineering I might add....
As in the pictures, it has a rough finish from the 3D printing process.
I am tempted to sand it and spray it with plastic primer and semi-flat black plastic paint to Smooth it out like the OEM plastics. I also want to cut a smaller hole in the factory plastics so I have no gaps when installed.
Around here no one knows what a stock Fiesta ST looks like under the hood so if I can make it look OEM, I will be able to open the hood and no one will think it isn't stock.

If you want to lessen the gap after the cut you could use weather stripping on it like I did when I put a Napa duct in my Ty so it would lessen the gap of the hood and the CAI box I built and to get a nice seal. Just food for thought....I've thought about doing it to my big mouth after I cut the shroud. If I do I could snap some pics.
I would be very curios to see if this Intake Snorkel would help with CAI like the one I have from MAP and get more cold air into the engine bay. Subscribe to find out more.
Did the install. ...all I can say man am I happy to have a Dremel with cutting wheels. It's also a tight fit and some wiggling to get it to go all back together once the snorkel is in place and the bumper and the headlights are back in. Overall it took about 2 hours and I also was able to use a hoist and took the wheels off. Man did that make it easier on the back. Thanks again Velossatech!
Data been ready for a week, I am not posting it up since I am already a little behind on orders and I don't want to generate more by showing people the data
If you want to see it I can show it to you in PM. lol...

Honestly, you should post it. IMO you've got one of the hottest products in the Fiesta ST community at the moment. For guys like myself with 2016's you're also the only person on the market making something to spice up our intake, apart from a different filter.
