I took this picture after putting one plug back in its box. You can see the pretty big dent on the bigger box on the left side. I just think it had a violent ride, that's all. Not overly worried, but just because I like to make sure, gonna check the gaps just in case. I'm thinking Ace Ventura delivered my box [emoji106]

You installing your own or having a local shop do it?

Unless anything changes, I'll be putting CP-E Mitch to work on anything that's installed on my car haha
And where exactly is his shop? Because I don't live far from the city and wouldn't mind letting somebody who actually knows what they're doing install this.

Can someone help a newbie? I get the worm clamps loose for the intake and detach the vacuum lines... Sucker won't come off! How do I get the stock intake tube off? Adam said you don't need to remove the cowl to get to the heat shield.... I have a big intake tube blocking everything. Any help is appreciated.

I had to wiggle my intake loose by pulling from as low as i could as close to the turbo as i could the first time i removed it. from then on its pretty easy to remove. just make sure you get that worm clip way down there REALLY loose or it will be a pain to put back on as well.

This might sound like a fit but I'm really frustrated by this install. I peeked in with my light... Even with the intake and cowl out of the way... Where is the heat shield? I don't really see anything. I looked at Chalituna's Downpipe removal threat and I've removed every bolt suggested. I still don't see where the heat shield is located. It's very hard at this point to imagine a ten minute job after the cowl. I guess I'll have to remove it all... Another day then I guess

Also check to ensure your cowling isn't in the way. it could be preventing it from coming up high enough to pull away from it all the way.

Im sorry man, I wish I could help you out more. I bit the bullet and removed the cowling, it made the intake easier to remove. (on my DP install) and once you remove those the heat shield is easy to see.

TempeST, thank you for your help... Is that thing WAY down there the heat shield? If so, do I need to take off sensors or anything? At what point do I get under the car? I'm curious as to how you install the new wastegate? Is that the underside part?

You can see the heat shield in the picture... If you look down at the backside of the engine, it covers most everything attached to the engine. I definitely recommend removing the cowl cause it gives you a lot more room to work with and to be able to see.

Definitely a project for another day... I couldn't pry off the wipers myself so I'll have to order a tool.

I feel like that on a 2016 there is no way for you to get to the waste gate without removing the cowl. I have flexible sockets and everything and you can't even see the heat shield nuts without the cowl off. My wipers will just not come off without a tool.

Thank you for the help... Anywhere you know brick and mortar that carries a wiper remover? I found something on auto zone but I'm not sure if they have it in stock. I wiggled the stalk near the base for 5 mins and didn't get even one off.

I was able to remove mine without a puller. I had to just be careful. It took a few minutes to wiggle it lose on both sides but it eventually started to loosen up.

have the wiper arm up and off the windshield and wiggle harder. rock it back and forth little by little and it will eventually break loose. fwiw, learn from my mistake... i tried to use a puller after trying to get it off and bent the puller, I couldn't believe how tight it was. I went back to wiggling it harder and it finally came off, that's when I saw that it was the paint on the arm acting as glue on the fitting.

I highly suggest that you read the down pipe install thread "sticky" which has pictures. You will need to remove both O2 sensors and that can specifically require tools that you might not own. The more you do the easier this type of stuff becomes, but definitely read through the downpipe removal thread a few times 1st.
