Well I have removed my wipers and cowl about a dozen times so it only take me about 15 minutes. When you remove the upper cowl you need to pull it gently forward because it clips to the bottom edge of the windscreen. Then to remove the lower cowl you first need to remove the headlights to gain access to 2 of the 4 retaining bolts.
The wipers fit on a tapered spline, remove the nuts and fold the wipers back to remove the tension and give them a wiggle and usually they pop right off without too much effort.
When you say pull forward, do you mean pull toward yourself as you face the car, or the other direction? I definitely don't want to snap a clip or anything. I've already removed the headlights a couple times... They don't come out as easy as the videos say either! I figure it will be a 3 hour job for me as I'm a cautious slow poke. Thanks again for the instruction.

Not to thread jack but just wanted to post here for those interested.

I've decided to do an external wastegate on my manifold that is currently being built. I'm selling my wastegate purchased from tune+

$145 shipped, PM me for any questions or to buy

Are you talking about the tube that goes from the air box, or the tube that connects from that tube, to the turbo?
Remove both, the tube connected to the turbo is in the way. Plug the inlet to the compressor so you don't drop anything in the elbow ;) .

Pull towards the front of the vehicle, there is a U shaped strip glued the edge of the upper cowl.

This should be a really simple job as many times as Ive had the cowl, etc off. I plan to do mine this Friday night. I already have the ready tune so I should be able to get a set of logs right after the install:)

I'm just afraid I'll break a clip taking off the cowl or something else dumb. While installing the rally armor mud flaps I was being lazy and slipped with my breaker bar and slammed the end into my wheel that has only 1400 miles. I have a nice dime sized chip out of it. I get to spent some cash and a couple hours repairing my wheel this weekend.

I need some plugs! If I knew the gap I would attempt myself... But I'd rather buy them from Adam.

About the wiper removal... Do you take off the nuts and then do the rest with the hood shut? It's hard for me to conceptualize this prior to tackling it.

Q- Do you have a windshield wiper removal tool?

I can remove mine with the hood open or shut, and you might want to shut it for your 1st time. Also remember to use blue painters tape (use whatever tape you like but blue tape is easier to remove) to mark where your wipers will rest when you put them back on.

I can understand having questions before you try something new as I usually have more than a few myself, and once you do this you will realize how easy it is. PM with any specific questions, and make sure you have the removal tool or you won't be able to get the wipers off the stud as they are torqued down by the 15mm nut pretty snug.

Yeah, the first time I took mine off I smashed my windshield... :x

But after that I can pop them on and off by hand no issue, it's just figuring out where and how to leverage them off.

FYI, on the stock windshield, the are markers already on the windshield to align the wipers to.

No, I took mine off with my hand. Just be careful about it, don't hammer on anything like a redneck lol. Flip the wipers up, then wiggle it until it comes off. I normally hit them with a shot of zep (penetrating fluid) and while I take other stuff off let it soak in. Then then they come off like butter.

However, I never take the cowel off when doing this install, it gives you more room but not necessary.

It seems to me like they have some sort of locking mechanism. For me it was, take the 15mm nut off, then pull/torque on the thick part of the wiper (closest to the mount point), it won't really budge but at some point something 'clicks' (really bad description, there's no noise) and you can just pull the blades up and straight off.

The wiper and mating pin are tapered and machined for a press fit. A gear puller works every time.

Removing the wiper arm for the first time is the hardest, after that it will be much easier. The reason is the paint on the wiper arm fitting acts like glue mated to the fitting from the factory. Once this tension is broken lose it won't pose a problem again. Before putting the arm back on a dab a anti-seize or lithium grease can make future removals easier. I don't recommend using a puller of any type, just keep trying to wiggle it lose and eventually it will break free and come off.

Received mine today! Dunno why, but the thing is bigger than I was expecting haha

Little disappointed to find a couple spark plugs loose in the box (outside of their own boxes), might have to have the gaps double checked, just in case they banged around and changed things.

There was a piece of foam between the plugs and the actuator, I'm not sure how they would of came out of their boxes not to mention they had the plastic covers on the plugs.

Made them all the way to CA in one piece!

Yeah, it's probably fine, but two spark plugs were out of their boxes, and there was a couple loose nuts that escaped the bag. I guess my box had a violent ride through DC. Might be worth putting a piece of tape on the ends of the boxes in the future if shipping like this. I'm not mad :)
