Installed the Boomba shifter adapter and bushings, cursed for about 10 minutes straight when I dropped one of the mounting bolts into the bowels of the engine bay [?|]

Love the shifter feel now!

I love mine too but does anybody have trouble shifting quick shifting into 3rd sometimes? On hard shifting I catch myself not engaging it completely and basically missing the gear. Luckily I'm not grinding gears, I just don't engage the whole way and it stays in neutral. Any tips would be appreciated! Ha.

I hate that sound when it does not hit the floor and you know it is time to go fishing ...

Ha, I literally was yelling at my engine bay when I dropped my spark plug socket as I was pulling it out.

I cried for about a minute, smoked a cigarette and then set about finding something to snake the socket out of that area. It was definitely a low moment in life [shhh]

Only 10 minutes?
I think I've got that beat.

I backed out of the garage, parked it, lowered the lift with the Vette chassis on it and bolted on the suspension and welded up some front shock mount braces to hold it in place(springs are separate but I have none) and then lifted it back up and parked the ST under it again. Tomorrow a bit more of the same, have to get the back setup done so I can roll it out of the way and get the ST back on the lift to inspect, tweak a few things, start a few more mods......

I also just looked at the car a bit here and there and loved what I was seeing:)

And, worked with SS and Panda a bit on the upcoming custom tune;)

Lol, it's almost like having to relearn how to shift this car.

Today I completed the install of the Boomba quick shifter lever along with the base bushings.
This included a minor mod to continue the use my Cobb knob.
Also on Friday I upgraded the trans/diff gear oil to Motul 300.
Previous I installed the Mountune quick shift and Boomba shifter plate bushings.

Now my transmission feels AUSOME!!!

I like to palm the shift into third with a good bit of vigor to make sure it is all the way up and in ...... But my knob may be differently shaped than your as I have a flatish knobtop that allows good palming of my knob during shifts in the 1,3,5, area.. [shhh]

The steeda knob feels great but what I dont like is that its a conductor to hot and cold temps. Burned my hands a few times during the summer.

I agree...That aluminum knob would brand an "ST" into the palm of my hand here in our scorching hot summers! LOL

Or you can be very continental and wear driving gloves :)
Agreed though metal knobs do have that drawback though I enjoy the look and feel.. (Well once the frost bite and blisters calm down that is) lol

I would wear driving gloves on those old hard steering wheels for sure!

I took all my race gear to the track and ended up only wearing my open face helmet instead of the higher end, low weight closed face one I have and after a few sessions kept the OPM reversed stitched, super comfy racing gloves in the glove box as I had better feedback and control without them.

I am living with the stock knob for now as all my shifter knobs help it work really well but sure looking at an aftermarket one but it will not be solid metal due to heat and cold.

That is why I like the Cobb knob.
It doesn't get too hot or cold and it feels right.

Back on topic:
I removed my shorty antenna.
I get better reception of an HD station I like with the OE antenna.

I noticed that once I put the same thing with my shorty antenna. Stations that used to come in HD are not anymore.

Now I need to find a better working shorty.
