As I have the original, I wonder if I will have any issues?

The Gen2 was shortened just a little to avoid some rubbing issues.
We believe that it was because of very minor tolerance changes to vendor parts at Ford.

Dave I went bad to My Gen 1 M brand short shift kit to get back the 5% I gave up useing the new and improved SS they send as I had modded the shifter levers to clear rhe M brand SS that kept me from engaging 6th gear fully I noticed the diff and decided I could live with it since I had modded it already.
SO that said you should have no real issuses as I am running the Old M brand at what 30% and the Boomba at setting 3 (full reduction) and love the feel
I did notice the cable rides a little high in the main tube and decided to let it there for a while and maybe check it again at 30k miles.. You should be fine though..

The video stretch makes it hard to tell how far its throwing.

On topic : I installed the RMM and Drop in filter today.. all thats left is accessport.
Click on the 4 little arrows in the video player on the lower right corner to get it back to normal view mine was streched looking untill I did that it helps a ton and after you click it play the video as it seems to need to be stopped playing to change the view.. Great Vid BTW

On the #2 setting with the mountune trans adapter its roughly around 33% by my math. With it on the #3, there is tension on the linkage and the inside line of the linkage is rubbing against the outside tube when the linkage is locked into place on the shifter base. Kinda hard to describe and I should have taken a pic.
I did not get a pic of the cables attached either (should have) here is as close as I can provide to help show what you are talking about with the white and black collar type things where the cable changes size and those are used to clip the cable into the shifter base.. Hope this helps. Great info btw

Just installed my yellow overlay fogs and decals. I can already feel the powa! Doing the no-piston dead pedal today. Cosmetic improvements until I get much closer to my extended warranty expiring. Only 69,482 miles to go woohoo!

The bushings on the console were replaced as well but I forgot with what, it will be easy to figure something out when you raise the shifter.

-----------------

While waiting on a new EFR WG controller I did a few other things, still doing one and taking plenty of pics.

1) Data log run on a Cobb Stage 3, 91 octane tune.

2) Put the muffler back on, the race pipe is not that loud except when downshifting at a certain RPM or let off right when boost kicks in then loud as hell! There is no drone or resonance peak that is loud when accelerating, I have never had an exhaust do this and I have built and owned dozens.

3) Reversed the spring perches and added an insulator, the rear springs/perches were clanking around a bit, will test drive tomorrow

4) Made a strap from aluminum to secure the charcoal canister in the rear as the rally cars have had them break the mounts, it only weighs a few oz so worth it for the added security of it.

5) Sound deadening the rear qtrs, I use very good products and decades of experience and only add the bare minimum of the mat as needed and then lots of Ensolite and some acoustical foam. The results well be very very good but very little added weight, this is a multipurpose car I am estimating at 2550 lbs when done with a world class audio install, tons of go fast stuff, nice and quiet on the road....I have built a few cars like this with great success in audio comps, racing and a nice solid ride:)
30 years from now, I want to be you!!

My wife told me I had to cut down on the rice.
So I removed my Boomba Blow Off Valve Adapter.
I did like though.

Did an oil and transmission fluid change this morning. Engine oil is AMSOIL signature series 5w-30 and transmission fluid is AMSOIL MTG 75w-90 GL-4.

Installed LED reverse lights and turn signals with load resistors, and finally got around to installing my HID kit from my old car (with lifetime warranty). Thinking about debadging the rear hatch today and putting on the ST octane academy badges I got!!

I did full for my first but then I had a coupon for Ford's the works service which is semi synthetic. Might stick with that now. Can't be bad since that's the recommendation from ford anyway.
