Put my car on the lift, swapped back to street brake pads, wheels and tires, put the muffler back on, adjusted the damper valving, nut and bolt check, 2 hard core track days requires some time to make sure all is good to go. I will bleed the brakes tomorrow, forgot today but the Castrol SRF is amazing, I doubt it needs it.
I had to clean all the rubber off the car today, it was all over the place, what I get for really pushing it and getting off into the marbles a few times which caused me to clean it off the tires after each run, 9 times!

For the record:

Cobbs intake sounds exactly like the Airbox mod, except the BPV sounds sharper.

Drove it to the city, got it washed, half the wash guys and managers were all over it, I paid for the cheapest wash and got the $38 high end one for $8.....but our 4runner got the $8 wash for $38 as they barely paid any attention to it....I have to take it back next week and get a free rewash and they will do a bang up job if I do not have the ST there as well:)

Hit some metal strip thong laying in the middle of the damn street. I checked the side for scratches or any under damage. Nothing noticeable. I hate when that happens. One of the worsworst sounds ever.

I just have the shifter adapter and transmission bushings and THAT was an amazing upgrade. So I can't imagine what the bent shifter feels like.

big difference in how the shifting feels? ive been seeing that a lot of guys have been upgrading to what you have. lmk
With this setup, it's night and day. The shifter feels like it is attached to the trans now. I can also reach 5th now without leaning forward. My shifts are quicker too. I can say that this setup is one of my favorite mods.

Here's a quick video to show the throw on my setup. The setup consists of the mountune trans adapter and the Boomba Racing short throw shifter, trans bushings and shifter base bushings. This is with the short throw shifter on the #2 (middle) setting.

The video stretch makes it hard to tell how far its throwing.

The video is not stretched...maybe I'm not understanding what your point is on that. It also isn't going to be a huge difference on the throw since I have it set at the middle setting and not set to the shortest throw.

What did you mean about putting too much stress on the clutch when in position 3? I saw you mention it in your other thread.

And what's your reduction percentage now? With mountune and boomba's shifter?

On the #2 setting with the mountune trans adapter its roughly around 33% by my math. With it on the #3, there is tension on the linkage and the inside line of the linkage is rubbing against the outside tube when the linkage is locked into place on the shifter base. Kinda hard to describe and I should have taken a pic.

I kinda understand. Thanks. And 33 percent isn't bad. The adapters 20 percent felt like a huge change so I can't imagine 30 or higher.

For me, the #2 setting is perfect...just enough throw to feel like a real manual trans.

JPGC,
Do you have the original or Gen2 of the mountune short shifter?
